After being misdiagnosed and thereby abused and traumatized by my experiences for4 years, I filed a civil rights complaint. The next time I required services I was put in a Sacramento psychiatrist prison by Lake County CA Behavioral Health in an unambiguous retaliation against me for exposing their mistreatment. They did it by lying to me about my options. I say don't trust them and have an independent advocate to help you.

My sister is in jail waiting for housing and to set up treatment for outpatient diversion. The treatment is in lieu of criminal prosecution. My complaint is that mental health appeared at my sisters hearing and did not even have the courtesy to look at the hearing minutes from the week before. The hearing had to be stopped to familiarize the mental health representative. Minutes are directly always available and it is the least expectation that a professional would spent 10 minutes of time to be on the same page with the court. This is not a good look! The court had agreed to change the nature of the diversion from criminal to strictly mental health diversion. Please remember how much pain that both the family and mental health recipients face. I don’t expect mental health to do the work that the recipient must do but being prepared with what is available to current court definition would be appropriate

I have been refused and denied services for 3 years due to discrimination! it is both state and federally illegal for the Director of LCMH and the lake counties patients' rights advocate to be one and the same and they are!
