This is the best birth center! I was looking for a new birth center for my third pregnancy since the one I had been to for my first two kids stopped accepting insurance. I am so happy to have found labor of love! All of the ladies here are amazing! Everyone is so kind and personable! I felt so much more comfortable here than the other birth center I had been to.

I actually ended up developing high blood pressure and preeclampsia at the end of my pregnancy so unfortunately I didn't get to give birth here but I'm so grateful for everyone who helped me! I was very nervous when I realized I had to be induced but Stephanie made sure to call me while in the hospital to check in and give me some words of comfort. Natasha was awesome for all of my postpartum visits and even gave me a little plant at our last appointment 🥲.

I wish I could have given birth here but I am just so grateful that the midwives and assistants are so knowledgeable and careful because I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl.

I would definitely recommend this birth center if you're looking to have a natural birth! These ladies truly care and are awesome!

My husband and I had the privilege of attending the birth education class taught by Jenn through Labor of Love, and it was truly an amazing experience! Jenn’s ability to break everything down in a way that was easy to understand made us feel so confident and prepared for our baby’s arrival. We really appreciated how she created a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where we could ask questions and learn at our own pace.

I had so much fun learning about all aspects of labor, comfort techniques, and what to expect. Jenn’s warmth, knowledge, and passion for her work truly made the experience memorable. We left the class feeling empowered and excited, knowing we were ready for this next chapter.

I sent the midwives the screenshot included tracking my contractions. I ended up having the baby in the car even though I did make every single midwife aware that this was my second child (which typically comes faster) however I requested Katrina, she was my favorite and she was the one who caught the baby so that was great! Due to custody issues there was just a lot of confusion, miscommunication and back and forth with office staff & midwives & my ex husband & I which made it really difficult as a single mom (toward the end). I was asked if I had any gluten allergies but never received a loaf of sour dough bread but they did provide me a really yummy broccoli and chicken meal and a drink and a granola bar snack after my birth and I got to take an amazing shower. Lily was wonderful she was my birth assistant. She made the after birth experience and the prenatal appointments so great! Stephanie was great she filled out my healthy start form I wanted for my memory book. Katrina was amazing she is very informative and answered all my questions! Debbie and Maria (office staff) are also really wonderful. Natasha is from Breath of Life so she had great background in the physiological birth field. All the midwives are professional, kind, educated and intelligent. Even though my birth was different and I had a high conflict situation happening I think it was handled pretty great. I definitely recommend Labor of Love birth center! Just make sure you get your sour dough and don't have your baby in the parking lot in the car! I also want to include that everyone was very kind in flexible even when I was late to appointments on many occasions and when I was rude as a person (due to my situation) no one was unkind in return. They are all wonderful people!

Highly recommend Labor of Love! Everyone here was knowledgeable and supportive throughout my pregnancy and the midwives always take the time to address questions and concerns thoroughly. I didn’t end up being able to give birth here due to my baby not arriving until two weeks past the due date and needing to have a non-emergency transfer. However, the team worked hard with me providing education on natural induction in the weeks leading up to birth and provided augmentation methods I was comfortable with, so it was not for lack of trying! I appreciated the respect for my desire for a low-intervention birth while also managing the necessary testing to make sure baby was safe the whole time. I definitely plan to come here for future prenatal care!

The staff at labor of love is amazing. They educate you on anything you have questions on. They’re attentive and care about your wants/ wishes/ needs. I worked with all the midwives and they’re truly amazing - Natasha, Stephanie, and Katrina.

I have graves and gestational diabetes and they made sure we were safe to give birth the entire way. I am grateful labor of love is more medical than most birthing centers because I needed a little extra care after birth with IVs. I chose labor of love not only for being more medical but also because I did not want to give birth at a hospital. I wanted a calmer environment and not to be confined to the bed. I was able to eat and walk around get on the exercise ball, tub, toilet, and more.

The day of my birth Natasha and Stephanie were my midwives and they were nothing short of supportive and amazing providers. Melanie was there to support me when I wanted to give up (which was multiple times)

They make you sourdough bread the day of your birth. It was the most calm environment to give birth naturally and I would do it again here!!

I had a very good experience here and I would come back. Labor of Love was very caring and exceeded my expectations in terms of care for me and my baby. Although I didn’t get to give birth here, due to complications, the prenatal care was great. They really prioritize the mom and baby which I think is so important. They made me feel very safe and relaxed going into the birthing process too and know what to expect. Now my baby is 7 months old and doing great. I’m so happy I decided to go with them and I have already referred a friend to them.

I decided I wanted to give birth at a birth center because I wanted a less clinical environment to bring my baby girl into the world and I always felt like a hospital brings a bit of a negative kind of feeling. I was really looking to find somewhere where I felt comfortable and safe and that felt kind of like home. I toured a few different birth centers, but no where felt quite like home except Labor of Love.

My prenatal care here was amazing as well. I saw Natasha for most of my pregnancy and wow do I love her! She’s truly amazing, she’s knowledgeable, she cares about you and what’s on your mind and how you’re feeling and is just simply a really good person. She listened. She comforted. I really hoped to create a bond with my birth team at a birth center and I truly do feel like I did at Labor of Love, even with the birth assistants (I saw Monica most of the time, but also saw Melanie and Madison sometimes and they are all amazing).

The childbirth education class that they offer at the birth center was extremely helpful and enjoyable to attend. Jennifer did a great job preparing us as new parents for our baby girl (labor, delivery, and postpartum).

As far as my labor and delivery, I unfortunately was unable to deliver at the birth center. My water broke before contractions had started and I had not made it to active labor soon enough per the 24 hour period, so I had to take myself to the hospital to deliver. Although I did not deliver at the birth center, I couldn’t have asked for a better team and better support from Stephanie and Natasha from the moment my water broke, through laboring overnight, to the moment they had to break the news to me about the hospital. I was an emotional wreck when I got that news all while working through contractions because my whole plan was just changed and taken from me in a matter of 24 hours. BUT Natasha and Monica were there before I left for the hospital and listened to me, comforted me, and called the TGH USF midwives to let them know I was on my way to ensure I was taken care of. I couldn’t have asked for a better team during my birth center experience, and while I was unable to deliver my first baby there, I do hope that I can deliver there in the future!

We absolutely loved the childbirth education class! Jenn did an amazing job getting through all the material, making such an open space for us to share and even asking from experienced moms present on their take which we also found helpful. We left learning so much and are so grateful to have had this opportunity!
