I was a patient of Dr. Reif for over a decade. His retirement was sad, but inevitable. The new owners have shown that they no longer cater to the same clientele that Dr. Reif held, they are obviously shooting for a much higher income clientele. They have increased the prices 300-400%, and are incredibly judgemental toward the old clients who question the new prices. I have recently moved onto a new, more affordable vet whose staff is much friendlier. La plaza still sends me their newsletter, and in the last one they sent they informed their clients that they would no longer be paying the credit card processing fees and are passing those charges onto the clients from here on out. Not surprising. Glad I no longer go here. I recommend literally anywhere else.

La Plaza Vet, is a Vet Team that really cares about your pet. Dr. Stone is like a pet whisperer, keeping my dogs heart condition in balance. I've been taking my animals to Dr. Reif for over 20 years. He's down to earth and doesn't ask you to spend unnecessary dollars. He has preformed surgeries as well as putting my precious babies to sleep when all else failed.

Sadly Dr. Ried retired and the building has received a complete oner-haul. The female vet l had was a bit dry and not warm and fuzzy. She stood back while asking me to muzzle my 14 pound Maltese. In her defense l am sure she has her reasons but bonding with the animals should be part of this profession. The tech was wonderful and patient and Addy was warm and kind. I will go back and l will hope the veterinarian is either more friendly or l meet another vet. I would like to suggest they allow us to pop in every once in a while so the animals do not think pain and needles every time we walk in. A nice little pet and perhaps a treat would add a bit of warmth.
