After my mother underwent knee replacement surgery, she stayed at La Casa Via Transitional Care for her recovery, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very first day, we were welcomed by the Admission Coordinator, who took the time to thoroughly explain how they would take care of my mom. She assured us that if any issues arose, they would do their best to accommodate her needs, which was very reassuring.

The staff at La Casa Via are incredibly well-trained and compassionate. They consistently treated my mother with kindness and respect, making her feel comfortable and supported throughout her stay. The facility itself is spotless, and it’s clear that they take cleanliness and hygiene very seriously.

Additionally, the support services provided were excellent. My mother received great care, and the food was surprisingly good, which made her recovery process a bit more pleasant. Overall, I highly recommend La Casa Via Transitional Care to anyone in need of a supportive and professional rehabilitation environment.

Sadly my dad has been at La Casa Via four times in the past four months, following falls, then trips to John Muir hospital, then across the street to La Casa Via. Normally his stays are two week stays.

Dad really likes it there (when he’s not able to go home), the care and attention are great, the food is way better than the hospital, and the staff is marvelous.

It’s also right across the street from the hospital.

There is OT and PT at the facility.
Cam, the admin, is super to work with and very responsive (text messages, phone calls, talking in person)

This is a wonderful place of healing, largely because of the very caring people inside of it. A relative recuperated here after emergency surgery. Through the entire week I was struck by the focus on the patient and how everyone creates a welcoming atmosphere for all. Cam, the director, is an absolute gem - she connected with us instantly and made sure we got the information and attention we needed. And she obviously sets a very high standard for everyone to follow, based on my interactions. Victoria, Lupita, the fantastic CNA/military veteran (I'm so sorry I didn't catch your name!) - my relative and I received great care and service. My relative asked Cam to compliment the chef when she checked out - the food was that good. When does that happen in a rehab facility! While no one ever wants to be in such a facility, this would be a darn good place to be if you needed it.

I remember how bad my health was at John Muir Walnut Creek hospital and I was very worried about my recovery. I couldn't even get out of bed by myself. I was informed that I had a lumbar infection and would need skilled nursing and rehabilitation. When I was transferred to La Casa Via I was scared of needing IV antibiotics for over 30 days. I was very happy with the staff and care I received. Little tasks seemed impossible but now I am able to get out of bed on my own! The PT and OT were excellent. I have learned a lot and prepared to go home. I have made many friends at La Casa Via and if I ever need help again I will be returning!!!!

I was under La Casa Via’s care for one month and three days and every day I was happy. This place is very clean. The food is good (better than the last facility I was in). The stay has been very comfortable. The doctors and nurses are very good. Everyone is so professional. CNA’s are very patient and helpful. My doctor was very nice. I will be telling all my friends to come to this facility if they need help. My son and daughter-in-law also feel La Casa Via is the best facility they have experienced.
