After my nightmare with Dr. Shae in June 2024 I decided to give Kingman OB/GYN another chance because I heard good things about Dr. Nieves. My appointment with Dr. Nieves was on a Wednesday. I arrived at Dr. Nieves office very upset because test results mentioned "malignancy" and the symptoms I was having were physically debilitating. Dr. Nieves was very kind, compassionate, and took the time to explain the procedure he will be doing to get me back on my feet and determine "early" to "get a handle on it" if it is malignant. Initially I had some issues with the person scheduling procedures for Dr. Nieves, however when I brought the issues to the attention of Linda the office manager, she immediately became involved. Linda is a fantastic, compassionate, caring person. My procedure is scheduled and I am hopeful for a very positive outcome.

READ THE REVIEWS! You’ll notice most of the good ones are about the ultrasound tech, which he is very nice but you see him once or twice during your whole pregnancy.
Every time I try to call with a concern, there’s no answer. I go to get my gestational diabetes test done and they ordered the wrong test, the lab tried calling and of course there’s no answer so I have to go back into their office and wait for the right order just to go back to the lab to give it them like I’m some delivery person. I failed my test so I try to call and see if I need to come in or if there’s anything I need to do and of course NO ANSWER! You can expect to wait in the waiting room for at least an hour just to spend 5 minutes back in the room. You better write down your questions and concerns before going in because they will rush the appointment and you forget everything you wanted to ask. I’ve hated this office since my first interaction at 6 weeks, they make you wait until 10 weeks to come in and I’ve had a tubal in the past so I was highly concerned it could’ve been another one. I wanted a female OB which is stated on their website and says on the board that she is in office however if you try to schedule with her over the boys in the office, you get told she’s moved offices and I have to pick a male. What about the women who do not and can not tolerate a male in her female parts? Absolutely mortified. Lack of empathy and understanding from everyone there. Kingman needs a second option for an OB office because this one is ridiculous.

Update: after finally getting a hold of them I was told that they were waiting for the doctor to sign the order to call me back and have not heard anything back all day. They are closed on Monday for Labor Day so I won’t hear back until I go in on Wednesday. So they don’t care about mine or baby’s well being but care enough to charge my insurance for everything including the wrong test that was order. Do yourself a favor and find an OB that actually cares about your well being and not just the money in their pockets.

Such an enjoyable experience getting my 22 week ultrasound done. Joe was super informative, friendly, and I did not feel rushed in anyway. With all the stresses of pregnancy, Joe really made this appointment relaxing and memorable.

I've met with Amanda baker . Amanda is super sweet and very patient. She answered all my questions and was very gentle with pelvic exam.
I requested Dr. Shea to deliver my baby and he was very patient with all my needs and requests and respected my wishes. I ended up having a c section because I couldn't push my baby out and he did a great job. Dr shea is very nice. He personally called me before I gave birth to check on my unborn baby and his advice I believe saved my baby life.
Met Dr Jackson once and he was nice and to the point.
Dr. Jackson was very arrogant, pushy, and rude. Met with him 3 times.
Joe the ultrasound man is awesome. He's nice, respectful, and offers advice and tips on staying healthy and protecting the baby.

I would like to leave higher than 2 stars, but what I experienced today really rubbed me the wrong way. I’ve only had Paul Nieves a few times, but everytime it’s such a long wait! Today I had to wait for an hour in a basically empty office building. I overhear him talking in the hall and sounded like he forgot about me in general. After waiting so long and debating walking out multiple times, he finally comes in; no apologies or even acknowledging how long I’d been waiting, doesn’t measure me, check heartbeat or talk about my Gestational diabetes, literally takes 3 minutes to tell me the ultrasound said my baby was active, which I already knew. Such a waste of time to drive from Bullhead to kingman to wait an hour for 3 minutes.

I'm surprised the reviews for these guys are so good now. I still have severe abdominal problems after my last c-section that I was actually yelled at for by Dr. Taylor when I asked for new scans all while in front of a doctor-in-training. I also had a c-section complication where an abcess was draining. If you ever have the option to take a c-section, do your best to have a natural birth.
