The doctors, nurses and staff were very very nice and helpful after my heart attack and subsequent stent placement. I think they are very caring people. I do think the equipment in ICU which is where I was needs an upgrade not only for patient care and comfort BUT for the staff to be able to do their job effectively and less stressful. But they are doing a GREAT job that should be a lot less harder for them by bettering their working environment with something as simple as, new curtains for privacy, bed frames and such. But it’s a very friendly place most places. Front desk in emergency was a little testy to my son and his girlfriend, just fyi. But they handled it ok they were trying to find me . Thanks Kettering! Keep going strong!

I was very well cared for by all staff. Eric in the ER was kind and attentive and very compassionate. Harley the aide on floor 4 was ao helpful and eager to do whatever she could to make me comfortable. Kelly in transport was just so thoughtful! I would recommend Kettering in Hamilton to anyone! I received excellent care.

We started in the ER and I was amazed how fast the service was! We were moved to the fifth floor where I thought we were going to get my mother evaluated and monitored to see how she could get around on her own. I thought that the PT would get her up and walking. She had a one night stay. No walking. Other than trips to the bathroom, she laid in the bed the entire time. She saw a GI assistant who told us they couldn’t do any procedures in the hospital, and advised us to keep our appointment at the end of the month. The medical doctor on duty saw mom a couple times. Each time she listened to mom’s heart, looked at her lower legs and left. She spoke to us very little. If you have an older parent in need of care, maybe try another hospital.

I was here last night doubled over in severe pain. They took me back right away! Everyone there was amazing! All the nurses and registration and the gentleman who did my CT scan and the Doctor were all so caring. This hospital was so clean and I never had to wait for anything. When I needed anything the nurses came running. They all treated me so kindly. This is the best ER I’ve ever been to not only for myself but for family members as well. I was very impressed with the loving care I received here. Thank you all!

To be able to get a shower at any hospital should not be a difficult issue. Not at the prices being charged. Told the shower was broken down hall and couldn't get a handicap chair in the shower in my room. A shower on a different floor, guess not.
Standard of care goes down while the prices go up. On a positive note, the nurse was nice and professional.

The doctors in the emergency room were fantastic as were the nurses! They cared for me very well after having been to another area hospital that nearly let me die. I was treated with such kindness and really felt they had my situation under control (uterine hemorrhage after miscarriage).

Well this is the second time that when my mom was in the ED there wasn't a consent to treat was signed. She is blind and hard of hearing. I reported this the last time and know the ED coordinator. She was shocked and said she would take care of this. Well here we are the second time!! Nurses were kind and attentive. Went up to the floor in a timely manner. Next day I visited and at noon an untouched breakfast tray was still in her room. No cups or water pitcher and the first thing she said to me was I am thirsty... So no water offered from 1:30 am when I left her until noon? I called the nurse, Westely, who apologized came back with 3 cups and straws, a cup of ice no water pitcher. Nursing 101 assess the patient and the room when they come in at night to make sure you have what they need!!! The worst is I worked here for 38 years and live 2 minutes away and this sickens me. Our community hospital has to be better than this and it doesn't do any good to tell anyone because I have time and time again and the next experience isn't any better. Please make our hospital better again for our town.... ?

Sylvia was a friendly and good nurse. Menu selection was good and food was good. Everyone was fine. There was noisey patients around. I had to make my bed one time because and aid brought the linens and never returned so at 10:30 pm I made my own bed. Glad to be home and feeling much better. Thank you to all. Myron.
