As my second time giving birth at this hospital, it was just as great of an experience as the first time. My labor and delivery nurses; Lily, McKenna and Vanessa were the absolute best. Very attentive, knowledgeable, kind and took great care of me. My OB Rita Barron was of course the best! We absolutely love Rita and Iโ€™m happy she was able to deliver my baby girl. My nurses in mother/baby were also amazing and did a wonderful job at caring for myself and baby. Very happy and pleased overall with my birthing experience here with the amazing staff at Kaweah! Thank you all again!

Special mention of Brittany in ER Dept. . Iโ€™ve never had such interaction and complete attention to solve a very complex issue. She was very attentive to her other patients but stopped by to check on me, she didnโ€™t want me to feel left alone. She wrapped me in blankets and saw to it the environment was comfortable and realized all this is important to a person who was waiting for test results. Sheโ€™s a Leader and Teacher!

My mom came in 3/26/25 for stroke symptoms. The emergency room was well prepared and immediately started medications and scans. They then admitted her to monitor her and assess changes in her condition. I saw firsthand how hectic and busy the emergency room is. But I also saw how coordinated the staff was. I think that this hospital is doing a great job and any issues are related more to healthcare in the US as a whole (particularly, it seemed like more doctors and nurses are needed to meet the large amount of patients).
Regardless, I want to give a huge shoutout to the 4th floor south wing nurses. Everyone was so attentive and answered all questions we had. I wish I could remember all the nurses name but thank you to Samuel, Elizabeth and Javier and our discharge nurse.

Iโ€™ve had two great experiences delivering at Kaweah and would recommend it to any other moms. Any nurse I came across during my visit was so sweet and respectful and very good at their job. I went into spontaneous labor two weeks early in the middle of the night and had to arrive by ambulance. It was very intense and very fast so I appreciate the hospital and its staff for delivering my healthy baby girl. Thank you

I was there yesterday from 9am to 10 pm. I was nauseous and asked for medicine and it took forever waiting outside in the waiting room for nausea medicine. Most Nurses are not attentive to patient needs. The staff are not compassionate, they just do bare minimum work. Found doctor and a lot of staff hanging out by where ambulant patients come in gathered there laughing and joking while patients were in pain. So sad! The Attorney General needs to look into this.

Made us pay upfront for surgery after my wife went to the ER. We met our deductible with the Surgery, but have to pay $1,100.00 for the ER visit. This wasn't by accident, they know what they are doing. My problem isn't with the Doctors or the Staff but the money hungry board. Wish I could give zero stars.

I have stayed at Kaweah Delta Hospital for, maybe 10 times in the last 20 years due to my lungs(COPD) or a few other health issues. I can honestly say that it's a very good hospital staffed by some of the finest Human beings in the world.
I would recommend Kaweah Delta District Hospital to anyone.

In December of 2019, I almost died because of this hospital. On a Friday I went to the ER, because I couldn't breathe. I couldn't even eat because opening my mouth to take a bite, caused me to be extremely short of breathe. I sat in the waiting room for 6+ hours, got the run around and wasn't even offered a breathing treatment. When I finally saw Dr. Lucero, he said I had a little bit of pneumonia, it was no big deal. He gave me an Augmentin tablet and a Norco, ordered a prescription, and then said I needed to leave. My BP was 180/100. I asked multiple times if he was sure I should go, because I couldn't even breathe. He said, "You are a young healthy girl, you need to go!"
I left. Took me 30 minutes to walk to my ride who was out side the surgery doors, because I could not breathe to even walk. Over the next 2 days, I got worse. Fever was so bad, one extreme to the next and I couldn't get it to break with over the counter meds. Sunday afternoon I decided to go to Urgent Care, because I felt even worse. At urgent care they were concerned because I couldn't hold my breathe for even half a second, they said I had to go to the ER. I cried, because I kept thinking I'd get the same crappy Doctor I had already had. I got a ride to the ER, and the first person I came into contact with at the check in desk, told me I couldn't breathe because I had anxiety and I needed to calm down. They checked me in and took me back right away because my symptoms had worsened and I had been there only 2.5 days prior. They put me in zone one and asked me to change co I could do an x-ray. I couldn't breathe, so I couldn't even get my shirt off. They immediately took me to Zone 2.
My experience in Zone 2 is the only reason why I can give 2 starts. I would give 0 stars based on my interaction with Dr. Lucero a couple days prior.
Zone 2 was amazing. My o2 was in the low 80s, even with high flow oxygen. They hooked me up to antibiotics, steroids, and got my labs going. Based on my 19 whit blood count, plus all the other symptoms, they told me I was septic. The doctor told me if I had waited one more day to come in, I probably would have came in intubated or even worse. I had 2 different types of pneumonia, a viral and bacterial. The viral pneumonia was later discovered to be COVID. They ordered all the things, and later admitted me. I did have an anaphylaxis reaction to the CT Contrast (no ones fault, didnt know i was severely allergic to it.) The Zone 2 staff handled it amazing and got me back.
The Zone 2 staff was absolutely amazing. It's ashame that my first experience was with such a horrible doctor. Did I mention I worked at this hospital? Ya, I did, and he knew it, because I was on my lunch break when I decided to go to the ER. Nothing happened to this doctor, and I felt completely unheard. The ER Director came to talk with me while I was in the hospital, and he must have mentioned 12 times it was his day off and his daughter was waiting on him. Even working there, I was completely unheard and my life almost being lost didn't matter. He was a doctor, and I was just a tech. Even being an employee at this facility didn't get me decent treatment.
