Dr K has been my primary physician for 7 years. She is a Healthcare provider NOT a Sick-care provider like 99% of doctors. In this area, she is the only M.D. I know of that looks for the Root Cause of a problem instead of just throwing a drug at it, and if it can be treated by a natural supplement or diet change that’s what she recommends first. She wants her patients to regain vitality and health, not just manage symptoms with pharmaceuticals.

I went to see Dr. Kalmbacher as a new patient. I had the most amazing experience. She was so calm and caring. I felt she genuinely cared about my problem and took as much time as I needed. She is very thorough and I would highly recommend her.!!!

I spent more time waiting for Dr. Kalmbacher than she ever spent talking to me. It is completely disrespectful of patients' time. I understand needing to decompress a bit between appointments, but when it's 45 minutes past the appointment time, and youre overhearing the doctor talk about a recent personal online purchse she made with the front desk and when it will be here, it's frustrating. Especially when the office is small enough I can overhear the front desk conversations.
The excessive wait times and overhearing personal conversations happened with all 3 appointments. I walked out of the third because I had to be somewhere else. When I asked the front desk if Dr. K would always be this late, I got an indirect answer and flippant attitude from the receptionist.

During my second appointment, I asked her about the side effects of a medicine she'd prescribed during the appointment. She said there were no side effects. That didn't sit right with me as EVERY medication has side effects. I don't expect every doctor to know every side effect, but she'd told me she'd prescribed this same med combo to her own 15 year old son so I assumed she would be familiar with it. Nope.
Spoiler Alert: that medicine absolutely ended up having side effects for me and I'm grateful to my pharmacist for helping navigate that because I wasn't confident the prescriber could.
I will not be returning or recommending this office.

Tl;dr: poor time management skills & lacked medication education

Found Dr. Kalmbacher through a referral. I've been to other doctors for the same issue and I feel like she listened to me when others did not. I feel way more comfortable here than at any other doctor in the area as she's very knowledgeable. The staff was nice and courteous. I've already recommended others go to see her.

I am very happy with Dr.Kalmbacher! She took me on as a new patient a few years back and treats my hypothyroidism. She allows me to take the NDT tablets that no other doctors in the area were willing to prescribe me. I don't really feel any different at all, but I did drop weight when I changed medications. So, thank you Dr. K!
