Arrived to get an appointment for an eye exam, but was told it was going to be about 5 to 6 weeks. The scheduler looked to see if there were any cancellations, and behold someone had cancelled that morning. I was able to see the optometrist in 20 minutes, and I had no co-pay. I was going to go to Costco and pay if it was going to take a month or longer to get an appointment. It was a great experience, and the doctor was kind, and very knowledgeable.

Dr. Was kind and took time to explain procedures and expectations. Furthermore, Dr. made an appointment with the specialist to f/up on my concerns. She also reviewed my past exams and recommended tests like bone density and colonoscopy.

I am very grateful to the Kaiser Team. Special shoutout to Dr. Mascarinas in Antioch and Doctor Shah in Dublín. They were and still at my corner since 2020 fighting 3 Cáncers. I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for them. God bless every single one of the good souls in charge of my care there.

My doctor is great. However I’m fed up with the following:
I try to set appointments and often see No available appointments by phone, video, or in person. My doc finds a way to get me in.

After my recent motorcycle accident I struggled to get a follow up after emergency. I ended up pushing and throwing a fit and got squeezed into minor injury. System and when I called there were no appointments available for months.

I’m sick of meds suddenly not covered for allergy after being covered for a decade.

I’m extremely upset that I came in near a year ago for shoulder pain. Had X-rays that showed nothing significant causing pain. I asked for an mri as the pain at night when I laid down was severe but only when laying down to lifting certain ways. Standing and sitting there was no pain. I was denied an mri to determine cause of pain and was forced to get cortisone and physical therapy first to treat the symptoms. Now my severe pain is almost constant. Sitting. Laying. Standing it just hurts so much now. I finally am getting the mri and I hope they don’t find that the cortisone and pt was a bad idea. I cannot fathom why Kaiser requires injecting someone’s body with drugs to treat a symptom as opposed to seeking out the cause and diagnose it first. I was strongly opposed to cortisone and even said so in my secure email and wanted diagnosis first. Now I’m in severe pain all the time due to policy and cost savings which is unacceptable. I used to brag about Kaiser. Now I scream to avoid. I can’t even get care when needed.
