My stepdad passed on Sunday and I called to schedule for the bed to be picked up on Tuesday since Monday was a holiday so they weren't able to come out which is understandable. I was told I was going to get a call back because they couldn't pick up without an electronic order but never got a call back. Called hospice and they were able to push one through. Wednesday I got a text saying they were on their way at 12:05pm. I was about to leave to a meeting so I called to confirm they were coming. Dispatch called and confirmed the driver was on the way with 30 tops wait time. I gave them 2 hours and they never showed. I called again and they said eta was from 3pm to 5pm. I okayed it and called back at 4:45pm to confirm they were coming. The manager said to look to see if they left a note and they did. They came at 3:20pm but never knocked on the door. Ariel listened to my concerns and frustrations and told me he could have a different driver sent out but it would be another couple hours at least. I already missed earlier meetings and couldn't miss another scheduled appointment. He let me know they could work around my schedule and we agreed for a pick today Thursday May 30th 2024 between 12pm and 2pm. 2pm passes and I call again to see why it hasn't been picked up. This is the room my step dad passed in and I want to clean it and join my mom in the bay area to help support her making all of the arrangements; yet, I can't with this bed and other equipment taking up space. Ariel calls to see what is going on and finally was able to send someone out who got here around 3:20pm. Ariel from Sacramento was the only one to actually listen and do his best to get everyone else to do their jobs. Other than his service, I don't recommend this company because the late pick ups and drop offs are not right when this equipment is needed for when our loved ones are alive; also it needs to be removed as soon as possible after they transition. I have so many things I have to prepare, go to and do now that he is gone and I feel like wasting days for equipment to be picked up shouldn't be a thing to have to worry about.
