I am a current patient, and I am happy to have Dr. Delgado as my doctor because he is a very good doctor. However, I am very disappointed to receive cancellation of my appointment with him within a couple of hours of the appointment due to a preplanned event. I was also told I could make another appointment to see him four months from now or see his physician's assistant next month. I should have been notified of this before getting bloodwork done last week and before paying my copay for this appointment online. Dr. Delgado's staff should have worked with me to see him within a reasonable amount of time since I am supposed to see him every three months.

5 calls (3 by me) prior to my appointment to get a script for labs, back and forth over 5 phone calls. Still never received the script for my labs. Day of appointment at 6:43am they call and ask if I can come early (12pm-noon) I unfortunately cannot be there early as my schedule is loaded up because I have scheduled my appointment for 3pm. I arrive at 2:35 for my scheduled appointment at 3pm, I check in, pay my co-pay (they don’t take cash 😏) and take a seat, moments later the nurse comes out and calls me back 😁 15 minutes early. This is where it takes a turn to the south, i jump on the scale she stays my weight we walk to the exam room and when she puts my weight in she puts me in at 139lbs (sweet) only problem is I weigh 213 😕 the nurse then takes my vitals (all good). The nurse then informed me she wants me to wait in this holding room and and an exam room will open up shortly and she will come get me. It is now about 3:10 and she comes back and get me and takes me to my exam room and she says “the Dr. Will right in, there is a couple people ahead of you 😏fast forward 4:02 rolls around and out of the exam room i come. I tell the nurse (face buried in her cell phone) i have to go, she replies “ok then see ya, your next up” i continue to the check out station to get my copay refunded, the nice lady asks me if I would like to schedule my next visit. I reply “no thank you, just need my copay refunded” the perplexed look was followed up by “uh” after about 5 minutes and a fellow Vp worker she was able to refund my copay. Dr Delgado is a very good Dr. but his staff (nurses) rude and clueless. I now must find a new primary Dr. After 15+ years as a patient. Aggravating to say the least.

I've been a patient at Dr. Delgado's office for approximately 2 years. Dr. Delgado and his staff are very professional, pleasant, and compassionate. From the minute you step into his office you are greeted immediately.

I was very impressed with the amount of time that Dr. Delgado spends with me during each visit. I would recommend Dr. Delgado to anyone seeking a Primary Care Dr.

Has been my family doctor for 3 generations of my large family. It is a doctors office in Ocala so forgive the doctor and his office manager if the bottom level employees aren't the most professional. The reason I go here is to see the doctor and it takes time sometimes because he is thorough with his patients. He checks and crosses Ts and dots i's. Rare in Ocala to have a doctor that is this concerned about his patients well being. He does everything in his power to help. He is totally worth 5 stars and could practice in a larger better medical quality area and still shine. I personally am glad some won't even see him because he is Puerto Rican and this is Marion County. Their loss he is the best family doctor in Marion County by far. He treats people not like cattle and obviously he had no culture toward being prejudice like other doctors in the area. He saved my husband's life and has made his life much better in quality with his referrals. He will give you a sample med if you can't afford to get it right away. I seen I'm search for me and had his staff help him even if they said they had none. Had them triple check. What doctor does this in Ocala? I tell you. One with a heart and humanity. Love this doctor and I know my husband would die or kill for him. He tells people how Delgato saved his life when other doctors in Ocala missed the signs. Unfortunately there is not enough Delgato's in Marion County so eventually we plan to move where we my family can get a larger team of doctors that are like Delgato. Wish I could take him with us. He is the only doctor we will trust in Ocala area or in any area like Gainesville and the Villages that have other Ocala doctors practicing as remote doctors. I'm sure they need to bounce around to make a customer base. Delgado is always at the same location with a waiting list that's currently over a month and a half out. But worth the wait given the options around here. Sad but true. Hopefully Ocala medical and police and EMT and basically all public services here get up to speed internally and match the modern equipment they have bought themselves with tax money. Super disappointed in this areas quality and my only oasis is Dr. Delgado that I wish was enough for all our mefical needs. Now i just have him refer me to Tampa or Orlando to get better quality referrals. Worth the drive for specialist. He is an amazing doctor and deserves it to be advertised as such. Yadi in the office is a real profession in her seat as well. Staff changes are obvious since the pandemic but Yadi still stands. ADVENT HEALTH please don't just do better than the other hospital because that bar is too low. Raise the bar so that the other doctors in Marion County either move to Alabama to practice low level inhumane medical care or stepbtheur game up. We need more Delgado type of doctors. Looks you in the eye with honesty and care and accurate on his diagnosis. He wax the doctor that caught my husband's leukemia and told him it's best to go to Moffit Tampa and referred him to the leading cancer doctor of his type in the entire region of the USA. Delgado had his back and my husband more than loves Delgado so much he'd volunteer his live to save his. He knows if it was another doctor in the area he'd be stage 3 at least before they did anything about it. Or have us set different appointments for different reasons to milk the co pay. Delgado I can talk multiple issues in one visit. No problem within reason. Bottom line is Delgato doesn't practice as a doctor to be rich like the other doctors in the area. Shoot Delgato gets paid im sure much much more than me yet he is much more humble than me. I can tell by the clothing under his white coat and the car he drives. Tells me a lot about a man. Tells me he has a better chance than me to be in heaven. I need to work on my humbleness after knowing this. He genuinely cares, no lies. He knows he is the first step toward saving lives and takes it serious. I wish he was in the emergency room. PA's should never be running an emergency room.

The care my wife and myself have received in the eight years we have been seeing Dr Delgado-Evir have been nothing short of Professional. The Dr also has a personal touch added to your visit which gives you the feeling that he is there just for you. We both owe him for saving the pair of us, Literally saving the both of us.His staff also is very courteous and they share that same personal touch to the office.

I had being seeing Doc Jose o Delgado like wow!! 10 year. and never had seen bad on him he is very respectful honest, and have the time to talk to you and pass the Lad whit you and give some copies .. that's a Doctor no have no excuse to no going to him.. no complying. his staff just have to work little more. .the office is clean. but when a person seat in the waiting room don't see no one cleaning After a person goes don't see the nurse in the room that clean the Blood pressure machine for this of COVID.. we have to be little more careful.

I've have seen Dr. Delgado for the past 2 1/2 years. Dr. Delgado goes out of his way to make sure all of your questions are answer, he works with you to address your health concerns, rather than just telling you what to do. he wants to make sure we are both in the same page and comfortable, he goes out of his way to care for his patients, I am so thankful I found D. Delgado, had gone to several doctors before I came to see him and was not satisfied with the service and care I received, If you are looking to change or find a new doctor Dr. Delgado is accepting new patients, you will not regret it.
