ER went well the problems only arose once I got admitted. They claim ask questions but they don’t like to answer them. Kaitlyn and Colleen were great the other ones not so much . I ended up leaving AMA because the nurses . Extremely rude . Most should definitely take notes from Kaitlyn and Colleen on patient care . They were so understanding and compassionate. We’re happy to answer any questions.

I was admitted to John muir and i will never go back to this hospital. I was admitted for pain in my upper right side. Ultrasound found my gallbladder was dilated. Once in my room the hospital Dr came in and told me nothing is going to happen. She told me I need to lose weight, it's acid reflux and I'm around to many pot smokers. I had some pot in my blood bc I smoked a few days prior to aee if it helped with the pain i was feeling. When she left the room, 1 nurse came in who was super nice. She helped me reset an IV the one I had blew. The CT scan results didn't show anything. But my pain was so bad it made me nauseous. The Dr came back the next day and told me just to make me feel better she's going to send a surgeon to my room, but told me nothing is going to happen. The surgeon came in and decided I should have the gallbladder removed due to all the pain its causing me. A different nurse came in and had to rest a new IV since the other one blew my vein again. She put it in upside down I didn't notice until the morning nurse came in and looked at it. He was baffled about the IV facing backwards so he had to set a new one to remove the one that was placed upside down. The new IV he put in worked but then started to sting. He told me well I did this one so I know its fine. The next day I went into the OR the nurse took one look at my IV and said that needs to come out. I told her how I complained to the nurse but he didn't do anything to fix it bc he knew how good he is.. it blew the vein and my wrist was so swollen. The new IV was placed and all is fine. I Went to my room after surgery and I was told I could go home the next day. I haven't had a BM in 5 days the whole time I was there. I kept saying how off I felt and no one listened. They knew i didnt have a BM this whole time and still discharged me. I went home and a few hours later my fiancée was taking me back into the hospital but this time it was Sutter. I was diagnosed with Colitis something John Muir would've caught if they took the time to listen to me and actually cared. The scary thing is, they are training students their ways. Im all up for training on the job but training them right. Specially when someone's health is on the line. I am never going back there and I encourge people who are going there to be careful.

Walking in and out of the hospital is a divine gift. Some nurses and doctors are frustrating and some are natural born healers who are passionate about their work. I understand some patients heavily task their patience as well. The service here is 50-50 though. It depends on who you end up with. I pray every entrance that we’d be in the right hands and for patience and peace when we are in the presence of less attentive healers. Either way, it’s a prayer journey coming in and out of the hospital. This one in particular, I’d say, it’s decent overall. Areas that needs improvement: Communication between doctors and nurses especially before shift change. Communication between hospitalists and family. Maybe there are other areas but most of my attention is on the work of the doctors and nurses and how they manage our care.
The house keepers are great, I appreciate cleanliness so much. I like the lobby area, the meditation room is such a great idea. I think it’s very nice they include that in a hospital. They seem to be targeting a holistic approach to treating their patients and helping the families through their stay, and I really appreciate that.

This hospital needs to be shut down!!!!!! It’s filthy and the care teams have no bedside manner! Been going to visit a loved one for 3+ days and their room or around the hospital hasn’t been cleaned! Do not go here! You go to the hospital to get better but will leave worst due to the cleanliness’s and care!

Worst service to go if you in pain they put you in a room and leave you there. No nurses or anything I asked for something for the pain and they told me to wait there were 2 critical patients which I understand but shouldn’t there of been some service available!!

Very disappointed with the Security (Allied) IN CONCORD. I guess he was more focused on getting back to his phone. I was in the middle of asking him where the mammogram department was and he says, ID please!” Wow what customer service. I don’t even care that he didn’t greets me, but the lack of compassion is definitively lacking.

This is the first point of contact for a hospital. I felt more like I’m being booked at a county jail. I ended up in the hospital two times this week. My second time at John Muir Walnut Creek. The security at JMWC was a little better except for being a little loud as I’m waiting in the ED. John Muir you should really choose your security staff better. People are in pain and feel like they’re dying. This is NOT OK.

Dr. Kramer is impatient, and just as much as crooked and a gossiper as her staff. Her staff stands around and doesn't do much work either. I thought pulmonary doctors were supposed to be fit? Such a bad example.
