From the minute I walked into the office of the Florida Spine & Pain Institute, I was amazed at all the employees. Starting with Janiella and Ana at the front desk, they immediately took care of me and were very personable and welcoming. The whole ambiance of the office including the valentine's decorations were in very good taste.
I believe my nurse/tech (Maria or Marie), was exceptionally sweet and totally made me relax as I was having a nerve study which is not the most pleasant thing. Dr Ruben Rivera was also very professional and took care of everything I needed!! The whole experience was amazing. I would recommend this practice to anyone who has spinal / nerve injury. Thank you to Dr Placer and Dr Rivera for providing such an amazing experience!!!!

I called yesterday (03/3/2025) to reschedule my appointment that was for today (3/4/2025). The appointment person asked my why I wanted to reschedule I told her I had an emergency to do with my daughter. She proceeded to tell me I needed to get a Dr's note because I was going to be charged 75.00 because I did not cancel within 72 hours and would not be able to rescheduled until that is paid. First of all I never told her I was taking my daughter to the Dr. I said I had an emergency second of all I called at 8:00 AM to reschedule my follow up from my procedure not a injection procedure. I already am having to pay over 100.00 because they did not bill me for my second shot. It was when I went for my 3rd shot I got hit with over $400.00. The office had two opportunities to collect for my second shot the day of or at my follow up. In fact I when I was called to remind me about my shot in December I asked how much was the visit so I could have the payment and I was given no answer. I am very upset with their billing department and scheduling department. The Dr. is good. His office staff not so much. If I could give less then one star for that part I would.

Dr. Placer is a gentleman who immediately strikes you as a very intelligent person. Immediately following this first impression, Dr. Placer has treated me with courtesy and respect along with appropriate and helpful medical treatment.

I was in severe pain and the staff were very caring. The doctor was quick to spit my issues and stay a plan for me. Also giving me a non addictive prescription that is helping me get through until I can have surgery.

Stay away from this farce of a doctor's office. This is simply a way for this office to bill your insurance company for visits that you won't be needing. I felt like I was being indoctrinated into a "drug rehab" program, not seeing a doctor for help with my pain. Waited 45 minutes in the exam room to see Dr. Rivera, but he never showed up. I walked out and would never return. The whole experience was VERY uncomfortable. Never have I been given a new patient gift for going to the doctor. This is a program, not a doctor's office.

Dr. Javier Placer, at Florida Spine & Pain Management Institute in Clermont FL (34711) is absolutely amazing. Raquel and Gigi are wonderful at the front desk. They are incredibly friendly and professional. They treat you with the utmost respect and care. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone!

Simply a fantastic practice! Dr. Placer and his staff are so pleasant and professional! Dr. Placer is a very skilled Doctor and he always spends time with me explaining any questions I might have!
