Wonderful experience with Dr. te Winkel he did my gallbladder surgery on 8/2/24 I was very pleased with how attentive, kind, and thorough he is. Also the ER nurses at YRMC Miss Fathom and Connie. They were amazing so kind and caring. The hospital is really lucky to have them both they are just two wonderful ladies. My only bad experience was with the recovery nurse Miss Julie Moreno. When I woke up from surgery I was terrified in a lot of pain and not knowing what had just happened. Instead of comforting me or explaining to me that I was ok and just waking up from surgery she proceeded to get loud with me to not move or to not rub my eyes while chit chatting and laughing with the lady in the bed next to me. All while im crying, afraid and in a lot of pain. She was not empathetic to me at all and that experience made me wish I never need another surgery again. Do better by your next patient Miss Julie Moreno.

I just got surgery yesterday for an umbilical hernia removal with this Dr. and I have to say he has been one of the best most polite and acknowledgably kind person I have met in the medical field. He got out of his way to greet me while staff were preparing me for surgery just to acknowledge that he would take care of me. Him along with his entire staff made sure i was taken care of. Every staff member that works with him shows you their empathy and kindness and make sure you are not nervous before surgery and everyone there is very understanding no matter how afraid you are they treat you like baby very gentle. Even the person that does your IV makes sure it doesn't hurt you and is very gentle!! This Dr. and staff don't just deserve 5 starts for me they need 10 or more. The best most knowledgeable and dedicated to their job. Fantastic! Also I'm on my second day of surgery and can get up on my own now. ❤️🙏That's how great their work is!
