I'm still awaiting test results from the NP at urgent care, and from the doctor who drained my knee but so far... The NP says I have high uric acid (not sure if it was in blood or knee fluid) so it's gout and the doctor who drained my knee called to let me know there are no crystals in the fluid so it can't be gout. So I'm in a fairly incredible amount of pain, have some beats ibuprofen (supposedly) antiinflammatory that is not taking the swelling down or relieving the pain. Crying randomly, and yelling to try and get through the pain kinda of hurting. Still that isn't the worst. I don't know how much money I will owe for this visit but I'm sure it will be exorbitant as I have no insurance but what do I have to show for this looming bill? A conflicting diagnosis. Same day 2 calls from opposite ends of the building telling me it is and it isn't gout. Even if the healthcare was free I'd still be pissed. So yeah I was so desperate for some sort of relief and an answer to what the hell is wrong with me I went for. What do I have? A terrible experience, with terrible inter medical community communication, that's left me in terrible pain still unable to walk, that comes with a terrible cost that is terribly still to be determined.

An honest discussion supported by the labs was done. Patients ideas was heard to and a three month stoppage was decided on the current statin. Meanwhile , a new drug may be tried to reduce plaque.

All the staff are fabulous. me and my husband
love Jenny Mullis the nurse Practitioner she is amazing at what she does , very compassionate and truly cares about her patients. she is very professional in her work and we both feel so comfortable going to her. she also ordered the cat scan that found my husbands brain tumor. hopefully she stays around for a long time.

I scheduled a Dr appt three weeks ago. They called me this morning. Day before the appointment, and they say that it was scheduled in error & now they can’t get me in until DECEMEBER 31ST and that there isn’t any providers with an earlier available appointment. BE SO FR. I literally have medications that I haven’t been able to get because I couldn’t get in with a provider. You’re gonna call me the day before and tell me the appointment I’ve had FOR THREE WEEKS was booked in error? Ya’ll need to get your crap together, that’s people’s lives & health needs and you’re just making scheduling errors & telling us tough luck. Thanks for NOTHING IU Health.
