If you want to just sit here for hours by yourself with no answers come here. Leave you in pain just sitting there. Worst place I’ve been to. Dr.Zivic is a joke. Just leaves you in pain for hours. I’ll never come back to this hospital. My nurse some cute blonde she was great and the ultrasound girls were great. The lady that drew blood was great. The guy nurse got my vein in my hand on the first time. That old man doctor should retire or find a new “profession” he sucks at this one.

The emergency staff's care was top notch! They helped me get to the bottom of a health issue I had been dealing with for 3 weeks. Each and every staff member was kind, patient, and helpful. I've gotten much better care here than any of the surrounding ers.

My husband had went in and it was pretty late at night and on a Saturday at that.

He went in for wheezing and having a hard time breathing, also he had a pretty bad cough . We sat in the waiting room for about 10 mins (if that) and he was taken back to a room, he no sooner sat on the bed and they had him hooked up doing an EKG, we waited about 30 mins for the doctor to come in. When she came in, he had gotten 3 breathing treatments which helped his breathing and wheezing tremendously and then she ordered a chest x ray. Also he was given oral medications for his cough and for his lungs being inflamed. He was sent home with medications to continue to help his breathing and his cough.

All of his problems were addressed, all of the staff were very helpful and sweet & we weren't in there for a super long time. About 2 hours total. We are very pleased with our experience and will be coming back for future medical emergency needs! We actually felt like we mattered and that the doctor and nurses were taking their jobs seriously. It's hard to find this in the medical field anymore. will definitely recommend this hospital to family and friends and thank you again sparrow Ionia.

Been here a few times for a allergic reaction and late period .they take forever to get anything done .literally sat for 2 hours . They gave me someone else discharge papers. We got there at 10 .didn't get out until 2am . Rather not go here again .rather go to the actual emergency room in grand rapids.

I am absolutely digusted with my experience there on 1/31/23
I went in to be seen because I couldn't walk on my left knee....the pain was off the charts. I got xrays & an ultrasound done...was told it would take 30 mins for them to get read so that I could get a diagnosis. 2.5 hours later...the nurse comes in with my discharge papers, and I hadn't even spoken with the doctor yet. Come to find out, he was on his way out and had forgotten about me. Then gave me a very vague diagnosis, and still have extreme knee pain, no pain meds, no real diagnosis, and im still no better then I was.
I will not ever recommend this place to anyone who wants their doctor to actually know what he's doing.

The entire hospital appears to be severely understaffed, really long wait times, props to the techs, one will juggle 20 people at once, must be exhausting

Sometimes there quite a bit of a wait, but I was treated very well during my stay. The doctors as well as the nurses all actually take the time out to listen to you about what's going on. They were all very friendly, and I never once felt like they were rushing through things to push me out. It was a much better E.R. experience than the one I previously had with the old location.

Every time I have had to come here everyone was super friendly. I had to bring my dad here for a possible stroke and they took care of everything so fast. Thankfully it was not a stroke but had it been I trust they would have had it under control. The hospital is clean. Also, communication between other Sparrow facilities is very good, no fighting to try to get information from one doctor to another.
