Went into urgebt care for something that every insurance covers 100%. I get a bill a month later saying I owe $430 because the doctor himself isn't in network. Cleveland clinic is in network but the doctor isn't? Seems pretty scamish to me

The front desk personal and assistant were friendly, but the NP that met with me seemed like she was in a rush and did not resolve my issue.

My right ear has been hurting the past few days. It is visibly swollen and I can barely touch it. My left ear has had an odd mold scent the past 2 weeks which made me wonder if I was dealing with a fungal infection.

Pam Brown took a quick look and said it's perfectly fine. When I insisted there was an issue, she stated it was just normal ear pain.
I asked about the strange scent from my left ear and she said maybe it's just my finger. 🤦‍♂️

Ear pain is not normal, there is clearly an issue so I had asked for some type of drops to which she prescribed. She was clearly irritated because of my persistence, but I did not come in to be told nothing is wrong. Do your job.

I came in with an expectation of a diagnosis and a solution, neither of which I recieved. No testing or recommendations.

I saw Pamela Brown, ARNP for recurrent cold and sore throat symptoms. I went to get an antibiotic for a sore throat and runny nose. She immediately disregarded me and dismissed my symptoms, saying that I was just run down and had allergies and refused to discuss some stomach pain I have. I told her 3 times I had an autoimmune disease and was immune suppressed which she dismissed. I left being told I was just run down and have allergies and to take some vitamin C. She ran no tests and didn’t even perform an exam. Never has a provider made me feel so small and treated me like some sort of hypochondriac. As someone who lives with a chronic, degenerative illness I am insulted. A truly bizarre experience.

I am writing today of an incident that occurred on April 9, 2024 because I feared retaliation of some sort against me or my husband. I decided to write my experience because it could possibly give someone the courage to write of their experience, who also might have been fear driven.

After leaving the office of my former doctor, Gabriel Colon, located on 801 Wellness Way,the Cleveland Clinic offices, my husband and I were met in the parking lot by at least 5 police cars. The officers got out of their patrol cars with their hands on their gun and approached us. We were surprised to see that but my husband, who was moving my power wheelchair, stopped immediately and we both cooperated with all the officers. Until recently we were confused why we were approached like that, but after retaining the 911 report we fully understand. All the law enforcement on the scene handled the situation well and treated my husband and I properly according to the information provided to them. My doctor, a person who takes an oath to help me, filed a false police report and had my husband falsely Baker Acted. Now I am not gonna write about that but of how ultimately it put my life at risk. I am a stroke survivor left in a wheelchair. My husband, my full time caregiver, was taken from me leaving me in the hands of unqualified people to care for me. Plus, a Rookie could have arrived, spooked, and accidentally shot one of us. Luckily that didn’t happen but who knows ? I see stories on the news too often of officers accidentally shooting people and injuring or killing them, and that could have been one of us. We could have easily become one of those accidental statistics as a result of Dr. Colon’s negligence. I

My husband went to the walk-in clinic because he had been sick all week. He lost all his smell and taste and thought it was due to a nasal infection, something that he has had many times in the past due to chronic allergies.
The nurse practitioner came into the room and the first words out of her mouth were, “I don’t prescribe any antibiotics.”
She tested him for Covid and it came back positive.
She did not look up his nostrils or in his throat. There was no examination by the nurse practitioner. He still could have a sinus infection secondary to Covid especially due to his history. We will not return rather we will go down the street to a different clinic if need be.
