Please do not waste your time on this office. I am always the “silver lining” person and I forgave when my daughter’s intake paperwork “fell through the cracks” despite multiple follow-ups on my part. Finally got an intake appt after months of waiting and that visit went well. My daughter was looking forward to her first therapy session. Arrived early for 10am appointment only to be told at 10:30 the provider never showed up. No explanation given. The only solution offered was to reschedule, which due to the limited availability of this provider was 2 weeks out. My teenage daughter, who is in serious need of help, broke down in the waiting room. She cried on the way home because she felt as though she wasn’t important enough for the provider to show up to see her. Fast forward to her appointment 2 weeks later, I took time off from work to take her and kept her home from school. As we are pulling into the office, about 15 mins before our appointment, I received a call saying the provider AGAIN could not make it to the appointment. Now we must find a new office and start the whole process again, meanwhile my daughter suffers daily. I work in the mental health field and am not unfairly judging. This is just plain unacceptable and unfortunate and I wanted to warn others. Find a place and a provider that values your time and puts you first. This isn’t it.

I've been seeing Dr. Freeman for more than a year and feel confident recommending him as a therapist. Not only is he an attentive listener with a knack for understanding what you're trying to say even when you're having trouble communicating it, but he also manages to be both honest and sensitive in a refreshing and effective way.

When you work with Dr. Freeman, it quickly becomes apparent that your well-being is his first priority. It can be hard to find a therapist who is both direct yet caring, but Dr. Freeman manages this balance well, making you feel that your healing is a collaborative process while also helping to guide you along the way.

Individual Counseling and Therapy along with Family Counseling, Indi Heart and Mind has put peace back into my family lives better than before and we are still a work in progress. The Therapists, Doctors, and even Staff are Warm, Caring, Loving and Genuine, you feel so welcoming entering the the facility, it's a Blessing to know everyone and their hard work for caring and helping. I walked into the reception area of the (Indi) Heart and Mind Healing Center and spotted walls with blue and green colors, instead of sterile off-white and faded pastels you see just about anywhere else in healthcare businesses along Florida's coast.

Right away I felt relaxed and eager to meet the receptionist and doctor. (I usually dread telling my problems but not this time.) Minutes after registering at the front desk, the doctor's assistant called my name. Turns out I was on time and so were they.

A restroom inside the lobby and options of drinks topped off the feeling that I belong here. Tell you the truth...I forgot about what I was doing that morning. I breathed nice and deep.

After finishing preliminary questions with the doctor's assistant, it took maybe a minute or two for the doctor to knock and ask me to join him in his office. No white lab coat. No stethoscope dangling and flopping side to side as he walked. He asked me if he could get me something to drink before we started.

Have you ever met a doctor for the first time and just knew you could say anything...talk about anything...and you knew no one would judge you? Dr. Freeman started off by telling me a funny story about something silly he had done, and his story sounded like a time when I did something similar. A soft laughter filled the space as the conversation drifted toward me and what brought me to make this appointment.

Before long--or so it felt--45 minutes had passed and Dr. Freeman was summing up things. He asked if he got them right. "Did I miss anything you told me?" "No," I answered, "you covered what's bothering me and why I asked to see you." OK, he said, I have a couple of ideas about making life go better for you.

We agreed on a diet, reducing my hours at work just a little (down to 48 hours), and taking a half-day off every 4-5 days to visit my best friend. He mentioned a couple of medications, gave me pros and cons, discussed alternatives--all before I chose one over the others. It ended up fitting me like a glove.

Since then, I have sent three or four folks to Indi, and all say things similar to what I have written in this review. Give it a try, I say. Be good to yourself.
