My father-in-law has been a patient of Dr. Hudson for many years. My wife and I are his caregivers, and i have transported him and stayed with him for his visits here. Dr. Hudson, Gretchen, Beverly and their whole staff there has been fantastic in all aspects of his care. If I lived closer this would be my first choice for a primary care physician. I highly recommend this practice.

Trying to schedule an appointment for a follow up with them is absolutelt impossible. They never answer their phones or call back. The only good thing about this office is Dr. Gretchen. Ive been calling them for over a week and they are never there to respond. Its ashamed that such a good dcotor cant get patients bc their front desk staff are, apperently, uncapable of doing thier reapinsabilities.

Doctor Hudson is a great and to the point. His STAFF however, not so much. I had to called 8+ times to get a refill on a prescription. No one called me back till after the 9th call and voicemail. The staff cannot explain my labs, nor tell me when my last physical was!? How do they not know how to review these things. Very unprofessional and not too intelligent. Wish Dr. Hudson can get new front staff. They're pretty useless.

The worst medical group I have been to. They get you to do the blood work and never follow up with it. I had issues that they should have follow up with and didn't bother to.
I had an emergency situation and the hospital let me know that they will inform the doctors and upto now not a single call from them.
Then my daughter had to cancel an appointment and couldn't get through to them.
Then following day morning the day of the appointment she called to cancel and she was charged for the cancelation.

Dr. Hudson is very helpful, however the office practices seem questionable. Most doctors are willing to help their patients with their needs and concerns. In Dr. Hudson’s office they only help you if the insurance covers the cost. I requested support with weight loss and unless I pay out of pocket the doctors won’t prescribe since “the insurance doesn’t pay them to prescribe” phentermine. Never mind you already paid your copay and the visit will be covered by the insurance as it was based on another concern. Dissatisfied! Feels unethical.

Family has been going here a while and normally love it, however I was recently sent to get bloodwork, and when the results came in it showed high cholesterol. Dr.Hudson's office called me saying I would need to make an appointment soon to go over my bloodwork results. When I went, he came in, told me I had high cholesterol (which I already saw online), told me to google the Mediterranean diet (didn't even give me a informational paper or anything just to google it), and then said I was good to go and to come back in 6 months to check on things. He was also not wearing a mask, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt, and assumed he might've forgotten, but still for a doctor to not be wearing a mask in his own office during a pandemic looks pretty bad (this appointment was back in December so the vaccines weren't even rolling out yet). For a 5 minute conversation I was charged $80 and no new information was given to me. I'm also a student at ucf and had finals coming up at the time, overall felt rushed, like my time wasn't valued and they mostly cared about the money. I debated writing this review for a long time but finally decided to post it even though it's been a couple months since.

Edit: the only reason I stayed was for Gretchen, she’s amazing, but unfortunately after my recent visit where I came in sick due to high fevers and body aches for 3-4 days I won’t be returning. I saw a new NP this time (her name was Beverly and she was very sweet), who said that unfortunately they don’t do Covid or flu tests, only strep (I mentioned over the phone I did not have a sore throat so I would’ve gone elsewhere had I known). She brought in her supervisor and I expressed that I would’ve preferred to know those tests aren’t offered bc now I was being told to go get the tests elsewhere after already paying. The supervisor Paola told me that they do offer the tests but it would be $100. She said that the reason Beverly didn’t offer it to me is because she already knows that I don’t have Covid or the Flu because I didn’t have a fever when the medical assistant first checked and that it’s probably just a small upper respiratory virus (but before the supervisor came in Beverly was trying to see if she could find a lab for me to take the tests where it was covered by insurance?). I expressed that I could feel the fever coming back on and asked if they would be okay retaking my temperature, which the medical assistant came back in and it said 100 so it was climbing up from the 98 it was previously. The NP then retook it on my temple and it said 98 something again, but she took it on my forehead and it read higher, to which I said that it’s climbing up and I can feel it and she responded that the forehead thermometer is not accurate but they don’t use oral thermometers anymore so it’s probably just reading wrong. Which I understand that’s true, but it doesn’t mean that the 100 reading was the inaccurate one. Anyways needless to say, I got home and took my temp with an oral thermometer and it read 102.4. I was told to call back in if I end up getting a fever but I don’t want my time to be wasted and to be told my fever isn’t real bc of the finicky thermometer. Better to go to an urgent care and get properly tested or worked up for an infection. I included a picture with the time stamp, for context I left their office at 2:10 PM.

I really love Gretchen, Dr. Hudson’s Nurse Practitioner. She is always ready to discuss why I have come to see her, and she always has written information to help me understand what is concerning to me. She takes time to answer my questions. My son sees Dr. Hudson, and feels very comfortable with him. I definitely recommend this medical practice.

I didn't have a primary, so I decided to finally figure that out. So I read up on Dr Hudson's reviews. Seems like more than most have good things to say. The front desk ladies seem to have the bad wrap in the reviews, mostly to do with fee's people don't expect. They were fine when we needed an urgent appointment. I went today - those ladies were great, considerate, kind and accommodating. I actually saw Gretchen the nurse practitioner, she was knowledgeable, listened well, was practical and went the extra mile to address my needs. I wouldn't read too much into a lot of the moaning that comes from people who's expectations weren't met in some of the other reviews.
