SCAM. They were super nice when I came in to rent a wheelchair for my partner. There were three employees there and one came out of the back and said the one wheelchair had parts which didn't work so she was giving me a brand new one. Fine, whatever. I did not inspect it. We rented for a month, brought back a few days early. We used it once for a doctor's appoint at Jewett Orthopedic. I bring it back today and the employee out front checked it and all parts worked as they did when I picked it up. Then she says there is a TINY scratch and they would not be able to refund the deposit. The scratch is TINY. I have no clue if it was there before but it was TINY. We used it once. So, even if we were responsible for the TINY -- maybe a centimeter long) -- you rent and there's supposed to be ZERO wear of any sort. If something was broken on it, I get it. But the TINIEST scratch imaginable. I now think the whole "new wheelchair" thing was a SCAM. It wasn't out of a box, in any plastic, she simply said it was new. AVOID this place. I do not believe they deal fairly & honestly.

I went in not knowing what my grandmother needed for her recent surgery and they helped me get the right supplies. Their staff is very friendly and show a real interest in helping out their customers. I even called them back a month later to get a copy of the receipt and they quickly found it and emailed it to me. Their knowledgeable about the different products they sell and take the time to make sure you understand everything before you walk out the door.

Utilized their wheelchair rental for a few days to allow my mom to go on a trip to NYC with us. Test drove in the driveway the day prior and off to the airport the next morning.

As we were wheeling toward the terminal the front left wheel was wobbling and causing a very uncomfortable ride. I stopped at the ticket counter and Delta Airlines attempted to fix the wheel. After a few tries it was unsuccessful and they offered to loan us a wheelchair as we were only taking a day trip and would return in the evening.

Upon returning the chair and explaining the situation, the clerk refused a refund. I sat in the chair and it wasn’t as bad for me as I’m 70lbs lighter than my mom but the tire still vibrated but she refused to acknowledge and insisted it was a brand new chair.

After asking for a refund yet again, she still refused.

Horrible customer service!

As you saw the wheel was vibrating and every time I mentioned you said “move your head” and refused to acknowledge the vibration, so yet again, HORRIBLE customer service

As you can see we clearly didn’t use your “new” chair, so do the next customer a favor and FIX it before they have an almost ruined trip

SO THANKFUL for Horizons! I needed a post op shoe and they were the only company that could help me same day. We all need to remember to shop small and local when we can, having this store matters to a lot of people!
