Very appreciative of my overnight visit and emergency surgery at High Desert Medical Center on White Feather. All of the staff are amazing, capable, thoughtful, caring people. I am especially grateful for Nurse Sarah the rock climber, who came over to help out from ICU. Definitely a kindred spirit, she understood my need to balance pain management in light of my low-normal blood pressure, and Nurse Mary who offered things I never would have thought of, like swabs for my nose that helped both with infection and smell, and swabs for my mouth when I was no longer allowed to drink pre-surgery. I am very glad to know this facility exists near the wild places I like to ride, although I hope I don't have to visit again!

I would rather die than go to this hospital. I have been humiliated, treated poorly, lied to and worse. My last visit here I was so weak I could not sit up - and unfortunately could not get a ride to Eisenhower. I was told my vitals were great, and listened to nurses talk about sending me home as there was nothing wrong with me - I had bone infection and severe sepsis. I have a very rare condition and my specialist works out of Eisenhower. I told the hospitalist that he needed to consult with my doctor. He lied to me and told me he had. Everything that he did for me was 100% wrong and made my condition much much worse.
By the time I regained some strength - at least they treated the sepsis! I was able to see my specialist and found out I had been not only lied to, but almost required amputation and spent another month in care at Eisenhower fighting for my life - this is right after Hi-Desert decided I was healthy enough to be discharged (dumped). Never again, what a waste of money and they almost killed me. Good thing for them California makes it nearly impossible to sue!

My experience was honestly phenomenal!!! If I would have known about this hospital sooner I would have had all 5 of my babies here! To ALL the staff from 4/11/24-4/13/24 from the front desk security to the wonderful lady in administration that checked me in, to the ER ladies that took my first vitals all the way to the most amazing, loving, caring, and super supportive compassionate staff of the labor and delivery team including Tim the anesthesiologist who was so sweet! I honestly love you all and appreciate you all truly! Becky, Lindsay and so many others that I unfortunately forgot to write down your names, to the doctor who was also so compassionate! My baby is so blessed to have you looking over his momma while I was in there!!! He’s doing better now but still not out of the woods yet and is also being taken care of amazingly in the NICU.

Do not go here. Took kids here for basic z packs due to an infection while travelling through. Hospital charging $2500 per child for a less than 10 min visit. The 800 number hangs up when you try to call to get details. Highly recommend any other option for medical care.

Follow up, requested billing detail and contacted email below. No response from either. Again, strongly caution anyone from seeking treatment with this group to ask for pricing up front.

I honestly experienced the worst medical care ever at this center. My visit occurred last month after an awful bout with food poisoning wherein the doctor (who seemingly lacked the ability to listen or care) prescribed Zofran - the very medication my pregnant wife already has that I explained didn’t work. We waited 2 hours during the intake process as the employee in the corner section prioritized locating paper for her printer over the many patients needing care. To somehow make matters worse, I received a bill from this visit for $1900. I hate leaving a negative review, but I’ll consider it worth it if this can save even one other person from a similar situation.

When we arrived at Hi-Desert medical centre we were in a very frightening situation. Upon arrival the nurses and Dr. Atkinson were very quick to react and provide very high quality compassionate care. They explained everything they were doing to help calm nerves, and we are very grateful for the kind treatment we received from all members of staff. Thank you!!

Came here with a friend and they were not even busy maybe five ppl, three and a half hours later we were still waiting. Nurses were rude, ppl sleeping in and outside, dirty floors.
