The receptionist at the Chelsea location is incredibly rude. Her demeanor and attitude is intolerable. Her tone is condescending, body language including facial expressions is flat out rude! She stated to fill out paperwork and let her know if I had questions, when I did so and brought a question to her, she stated “you will have to ask the nurse” as she rolled her eyes and “they’ve done it that way 40 years and that’s how it is”. Don’t state to anyone, especially in a medical setting regarding a person’s medical chart, if they have questions to come to you if you’re unwilling to do anything about the question and treat them (the patient) like they’re the problem. This is a reflection on this practice and you set the tone of the visit at the beginning. I do not write reviews but this was one that needed to be shared. Don’t know that I’ll be back and know the receptionist will be happy so she will not have to answer any questions and can deal with one less person in her day.

Called this office three different times wanting to schedule an appointment to be hung up on. My third time calling this office o spoke with a woman asking for my name, date of birth. Verified it, then she asked if I ever lived at said address. I said no. Then she verified my name and date of birth again. Then she asked me if this social security number was mine. She said the whole Social security number. I told her I don’t think you need to be giving out someone’s whole social security number like that. She hung up on me. I will find a doctor some place else. This is ridiculous and the reason why we have so much fraud going on.

To all the people saying you can’t immediately get ahold of a doctor on the phone, would you want the doctor to walk out on YOUR appointment as soon as the phone rang? NO!! These doctors are very busy with constant patients and appointments. Dr. Crowe and all the staff were extremely professional, sweet and welcoming. I will continue to go here, they are absolutely wonderful!

If you’re a woman and live in Birmingham, do yourself a favor and never go to Henderson and Walton OB. The staff is incredibly rude (I have several stories I can give you) and you will wait on hold forever any time you need to reach your physician. The only doctor I actually had an issue with was Dr Swindle. I found her to not only be incredibly unprofessional (for instance telling me she was “just a vagina doctor”) but she also misread one of my labs leaving me with undiagnosed subclinical hypothyroidism which has caused me a great deal of frustration dealing with the symptoms and having no clue what was going on. I saw doctor Poston. I didn’t really have an issue with her but what’s the point if the staff is rude and when you have problems you sit on hold for almost 30 min and can’t get ahold of anyone.
