I had an appt today at 8:30am 2/21. Upon checking in, i am notified that my appt was canceled because the doctor was not in office. No one called me or sent me a message. The front desk then says that a message was sent to my portal… The best way to REACH out to a patient is calling or texting. I was then rescheduled, i have to wait ANOTHER 2 weeks for a follow up for my lab work. I drove 40 mins to this appt only for it to be canceled… Please call or text me next time

I went to Heart of health to have a wisdom tooth removed and during the procedure the dentist decided to share her woes regarding opioid addiction and how it personally affected her family adversely. After having the wisdom tooth extracted I was told that I would be given no pain medication of any type. I told the dentist that I was sorry to hear about her family member and their issues with opioid addiction but, she should advise her patients prior to doing any extractions as to her position on pain medication after these types of extractions prior to actually doing them All dentists should be obligated to let their patients know that they do not give any type of pain medication after an extraction or any other painful procedure prior to the procedure, giving the patient the option to go elsewhere prior to the procedure. After the extraction the dentist said "if anybody comes to me looking for pain medicine they're not going to get it" as if my intention of being at the facility was in search of opioids and not the actual issue, which I found very offensive. All dentists and doctors should be obligated to inform their patients as to any personal beliefs or issues that prevent them from prescribing aftercare medications prior to any procedures that cause pain. Although I feel very sorry for this dentist and her personal family problems I don't feel that it should have any effect on how patients are treated post care and if they do hold personal beliefs or have personal issues regarding post care it should be addressed prior to any procedures being done.

I came in five minutes after my appointment time to which the kiosk says to sign in with the front desk if you are five minutes after your sign in time. So I waited as the front desk continued to converse and laugh with small talk. When I was finally able to sign in she failed to do so instead she skipped that first step and asked about my financials beforehand, and then told me it was too late for me to sign in, declining my ability to see a doctor. When I was on time, and followed their steps, I asked her if there was another time slot available. She said she would check but it looked like she was not looking at all. I waited and then finally got up and said I’ll go somewhere else to which she said “you’ll probably get seen faster”.

If you have specific time constraints, make sure your staff is doing their job or you have two people up front. Turning around someone who possibly has pneumonia because of your error is disgusting. But I am not surprised. Heart of Florida continues to be a bad experience for me.

For me they have 4 stars.
The check in and check out are friendly. The place is impeccable, very beautiful. But I must say something about the Nurse who attended to my children Caudill Jessie M really needs to change her appearance her personal hygiene looks very unpleasant. Dirty and poorly cared for nails, dirty hair you could see the dirt in his hair, and his uniform also looked dirty with very little care and hygiene.

I think it's not nice to see a professional like that with so much carelessness. I would recommend talking to her to improve her personal hygiene and go according to her work, which is to serve patients with professionalism and be in accordance with the place where she works, which is impeccable and clean.

Waiting 4 weeks for an ultrasound referral. Waited 3 weeks to get my thyroid medicine. Not organized or caring at all.

Extremely rude nurses and doctors not kind or welcoming at all I left crying after telling a nurse I was confused about why I was not getting the tests I was scheduled for and she said " so am I what do you want" she did not make me feel safe enough to disclose any information and both the dr and nurse ignored my concerns about my health. The receptionists there are very kind and friendly though and I absolutely adored my dr cristen cox in the pediatric facility and I do recomend her for all children and teens she is really a wonderful doctor she listened to my health concerns and treated me with kindess. If you are an adult seeking treatment do not go here ever I was shocked by the ugly behavoir.

Disappointing Experience

I recently visited heart of florida and was thoroughly disappointed with the overall experience. Unfortunately, the clinic's cleanliness and staff demeanor fell short of expectations.

*Cleanliness Concerns*

The clinic's facilities were dirty and poorly maintained, which raised concerns about hygiene and patient safety.

*Rude Reception*

The receptionist-secretary team seemed unfriendly, unhelpful and dismissive. Their attitude made me feel unwelcome and unvalued as a patient.

Due to this experience, I'm exploring other healthcare options. If you prioritize cleanliness and compassionate care, you may want to consider alternatives.
