Appointments made time and date and with who. , when the need arises to change or cancel they state there wasn't an appointment. When asked to send authorization to my established Neurologist they stated they would and an appointment that I needed for increasing neurological issues. I was contacted stating they never received authorization.
As a retired Travel Nurse I expect professional, competent, compassionate care not just for myself but every patient in their care I also understand the stress, fast pace and assurance of getting orders faxed to their appropriate recipient on a timely manner. Their health depends on it. Due to the lack of carrying out a request for a required authorization to see a specialist already established for over five years due to an increase and the new symptoms that has started. I've been in the care of the physicians and nursing staff at Pea Ridge excellent care.
Because the authorization was not faxed when needed I have to wait until March when I see my new Practioner.

This is my Mom’s PCP facility & we have been going roughly monthly since July. We see Dr Tanzina Nowrin & she is thorough, kind, and very professional. Dr Hima who supervises is also very kind, professional and caring. Nurse Alicia is a rockstar who handles check in, all portal requests, referrals and refills and always goes the extra mile for us.

Mom has a complicated history with dementia and I’m grateful to have HCA as her PCP where we feel seen, heard, and thoroughly cared for and about.

CONS: I would not recommend Dr. HIMA DEVARAPALLI to anyone. She treated a patient with such disrespect.

I was in the hospital by 8:10 am for a first visit and filled my forms. At 8:35 the nurse took my vitals. Dr. Ali, the resident doctor, met with me from around 9:15 to 9:45. Dr. Devarapalli arrived by 10:05. I had no idea if the bloodwork was going to be done, and because I've waited 20-25 minutes for each doctor, after a few minutes I mentioned to her that I have to leave by 11:15 but that leaves us with an hour.

She inexplicably glared at me, said "Oh let's fix that", then stood up abruptly and waved me to follow her. She went to her office, and when she saw that I followed her there, she said, "Oh, not here. You go over there", motioning to the Exit. I asked if she meant the exit - I was confused at this -- and she SMILED and said "Yes, you go there".

After a few minutes of sitting stunned in the waiting room, I went up to the front desk lady to ask what's supposed to happen next, including what to do about bloodwork. She was confused that I didn't receive any paperwork or instructions. She went to Devarapalli's office and returned with paperwork. She was the only one who explained that this is a teaching hospital with a non-functioning laboratory at that time, so I'd have to get an external laboratory to do my bloodwork.

Dr. Devarapalli treated me as if I was not a patient deserving of respect, never mind patient care. She dismissed a patient rudely and without any explanation - just for the fact that I told her of my time constraints. No patient deserves to be treated with egregious behavior by any physician.

Pros: The two stars are for Dr. Ali who did a thorough assessment, the front desk lady who was helpful, and for the clinic manager, Ms. Tegger, who listened to me for thirty minutes during a call when I told her that this happened. I told her that all I needed was an apology from Dr. Devarapalli; an acknowledgement that what she did was wrong. That was mid-October 2024, and no apology has been given. Hence this review.

To Hima Devarapalli: Be consistent in treating all patients with respect. Work on yourself so you can manage your stress. You're an attending physician, and if you'd learned that any of the residents you supervise had treated a patient the way you treated me, you'd have been appalled. Yet YOU did it. It was insulting. You've earned this bad review. DO BETTER.

Con: Intern used the smallest otoscope tip on my adult ears and jabbed my left eardrum three times, then moved to the right(and jabbed it too) Very Painful!! Spoke loudly at the desk about my medical concerns (I could clearly hear them and the door to my room was closed), mentioned infront of other clinic visitors in the lobby for me not to be worried about my "genetic disease" (OF WHICH I DO NOT HAVE!). Definitely not returning. Pro: Receptionist was lovely.
