Just birthed my babygirl on 3/11/2025 and couldn’t say enough amazing things about my experience. My nurse, Angeli was truly an Angel. She advocated for me for what I wanted and needed and supported me through my unmedicated birth. The hospital staff were incredibly nice, the rooms were clean and fully stocked with everything you’d need. I love HCA North Florida and always will. Thank you for providing an incredible experience for me.

I felt the ER staff were very attentive and even though they were very busy, seemed to care. My down side would be that I arrived around noon and was admitted pretty quickly. But, I was still in the ER until around 11:30 PM. Once I was taken up to my room I was told my room was ready around 6:30 PM.

I needed to go to ER to have my Picc line evaluated for an infection. The staff was wonderful and caring. They were quick to respond. My nurse Amber was awesome. She is so sweet and caring. The Picc nurse was very nice to. I large nurse practitioner Bhumi was very helpful and thorough with her care. I ended up needing my Picc replaced and it was done in a timely manner.

I was seen quickly and felt taken care of by the entire staff. They all seemed to be considerate of my comfort and well-being.

Once the decision was made to admit me to the hospital transport did take a very long time (over 2 hours) to arrive.

There was no way of talking to my nurse practitioner to solve my symptoms. I was baker acted because I was hearing the schizophrenia, I did not like being at North Florida. I felt I needed diet restrictions due to my weight gain and I was scolded by the dietitian who said I did not need anything but a regular diet. It was hard to stay awake, and I experienced a lot of anxiety daily and I felt very heavy walking from the medications prescribed. I was given a medication that gives me allergic reactions. I luckily didn't have a seizure because that medication I'm allergic to was at such a low dose, but I was afraid when they gave me 100mg shot of haloperidol for long lasting shot, I made sure that they gave the shot in my arm because in the hip is where it makes too many bad reactions, and for what reason I am not sure. Going to groups was hard for me, I have never been good at following a calendar of scheduled times to go to groups, it was confusing for me, but I showed up to groups when I was awake. In the mornings I always felt extremely tired, but I answered to the staff when it was time to eat. I honestly don't recommend this place. I think Shands Vista is a lot better.

Treatment was excellent. The explanation given by the attending physician was poor. He started off with a joke about the Johnny Carson Show, "Stump the Band" said I had an abscess that was in the proximity of the Appendix, but never said that I had had a ruptured Appendix. Not did any of my attending physicians, Radiologist(s) or Surgeon, or Doctor. The night nurse said it out load after looking at. the screen record Thursday night, which I thought she jumped to conclusions. When I asked the Doctor on the 3rd day of there was a way to determine where the infection came from, that's the first time she said ruptured appendix. Other communication and service problems in the hospital. The ER was otherwise excellent.

I got treated very well. I have an issue with not getting a menu . I also think you should have offer more pillows, the one I got was flat and uncomfortable. Y'alls bottled water is nasty, coffee changed it wasn't good like it use to be. Other than that, I love the care I have received everytime I have been admitted. Your nurses are wonderful and the doctors. Thank you. May God bless you all.🙏💜

My experience was great in the CDU.. The night Nurse Mrs Geneva , Candace and I think Ms Ebony were all great very attentive . I’m a Former Hospice Nurse they checked on me throughout the night and not when I hit the call light. The techs were very attentive introduced themselves announced what they were doing and made sure to protect my privacy while doing so. The Nurse Manager came in also asked me about my stay she seemed very genuine.
