This was my first time to the Women's Center and I was so impressed with the staff because they were professional and caring. From the time I entered the door and signed in at the front desk I was treated with kindness, respect and dignity during my appointment and was kept informed of the process. There was no waiting around on results because they were shared in detail. I highly recommend the Women's Center where you'll receive excellent care. Thank you for such great care!

My experience with this hospital has not been a positive experience. The obgyn, Dr. BEAUCHAMP, who performed my C-section has the worst bedside manner. They cut me with a scalpel outside of the surgical field to see if I was numb or not. Why on earth use a scalpel? Why do I need anymore open areas to allow infection in my body My husband is a practitioner and they refused to let me go home even tho I begged and cried the surgeon Dr. BEAUCHAMP said flat out NO. She was very rude and couldn't care less about my situation she just wanted to run up medical bills for me. If insurance would've paid all of my treatment with leaving AMA I would have. HCA billed my insurance over $62,000 for the two days that I was there and had my c-section. It was criminal! I should've been allowed to leave when I felt ready! Dr. BEAUCHAMP didn't even examine my incision post-surgically which was her whole reason for making me stay. The anesthesiologist who was on duty came in when I was still in the pre-op room and the nurses hadn’t successfully gotten an IV after 4 attempts. The anesthesiologist came in and without washing his hands or using hand sanitizer or utilizing gloves came in and put an IV in my left arm. He failed at the first one and was successful with the 2nd attempt. I was in complete shock that someone would do this! I couldn’t even intervene as I was in agony from the back to back contractions I was having at the time. This is unprofessional and unsafe practices for an anesthesiologist. I don’t have a clue what kind of communicable diseases he could have exposed me to by him starting my IV without gloves. This hospital needs to retrain their providers. My stay was anything but a good one.

I had a great experience at this hospital with my second baby, but with my 3rd baby born on 02/11/2025 I would say my experience was not so great. I was having my son naturally so of course I was in a lot of pain. As I was pushing one of the nurses was pushing very hard on my vagina so I was pushing her arm back.. I had been asked numerous times before pushing and after who would cut my babies cord and I told them every time that I was going to be cutting his cord . The same nurse who was pushing very hard on me took it upon herself to cut his cord and take that moment away from me after my son was born. Other nurses asked me afterwards was I okay and that specific nurse stated “ I’m not okay” .. Child birth is something I hold very close to me because my babies mean the world to me. That situation took away a very special moment for me.

It is with deep regret that I am leaving a one star review for this facility. Please note this review has nothing to do with the care that my son received at the free standing ER in Starke back in early 2024 as his care was 10/10! The billing department is however where my concerns lie. To no one particular person in the billing department, it doesn’t seem these employees are trained equally. It all started when I asked for an itemized list of my son’s ER visit. It took exactly 11 months to receive this along with the audit of my sons bill which in turn resulted in an increase in the level of care that my son received. You can imagine that my level of my concern with the billing department only continued to grow after receiving this. Assuming now that the first person to bill my son’s visit was wrong, was this next person wrong too? I asked to speak with someone to explain this variance and I was told I couldn’t and that I needed send a letter to the district office in Tennessee with my concerns. I am very alarmed by the level of misinformation and in my opinion incompetence from this department. It should not be this distressing for a client to be given a basic understanding of a bill they are expected to pay. I wrote a request for a call from North Florida on their website and was given no response. I would very much like to speak with someone as I have had so resolve with this matter as this matter with billing goes far beyond what I am sharing here in this review. Thank you.

My 2nd review. 1st was not favorable either. Although the staff was nice, I believe they are over worked in the er. We are at the hospital right now in er. Been here since being transfered from Lake City around 230pm. It is now midnight, still in er screaming patient on our left no one can sleep. No one should be treated with such disrespect. My mother inlaw needs to be put in a room where she can rest so her procedure tomorrow isn't so stressful. Get it together NFH.

The entire staff was amazing, from the ER to the 3rd floor and everyone in between! Thank you nurse Christy and the whole 3rd floor team! I couldn’t have asked for better care. Everyone made a scary event bearable. Everyone was so pleasant, attentive, caring and professional. The facility was clean and well maintained. Even the food was good.

I have to say, it's one of the most disappointing and frustrating healthcare experiences I’ve ever had. The level of unprofessionalism here is shocking, especially on the 2nd floor. Instead of attending to patients and providing quality care, the staff is more focused on socializing. The nurses and employees were frequently seen laughing and chatting in groups, completely ignoring their responsibilities. It felt like they were more interested in gossiping and laughing than actually doing their jobs.

We had an amazing experiencing delivering and recovering at HCA. The nurses especially make all the difference - they were so kind, supportive, and provided us with all the information we needed. They were committed to helping us stay as close to our birth plan as possible and we enjoyed getting to know each of them.
