Checked in quickly and efficiently. Receptionist friendly and competent. Didn’t wait long to be taken in. Wait was longer behind the doors. It was very busy. Nurses were great , they moved quickly from patient to patient still taking time to chat, smile and interact with the patients. They were confident and efficient. They explained after care. I probably spent two hours there which was understandable given that I only had a leg wound. I understand that more seriously injured or those in distress are seen first. I think we are lucky to have Englewood Hospital in our community.

Kathy was SO FRIENDLY and calming, not to mention efficient. She made my intake and prep experience less stressful. Jody in the OR was EXACTLY the person I needed. She held my hand and got me a warm blanket…two things for which I am still so very grateful. I needed her strength when she gave it totally! I hope they get this feedback!

It is not George who was in the hospital this time, but his wife Jackie. She is most impressed with the kindness and pleasantness of all the staff she had an interaction with from admissions to recovery. The hospital is very clean and well-lit; while it is necessary for medical establishments to be 'cold', it was not one that was so cold you shivered all the time. I find that a big plus. I would recommend you consider Englewood Hospital for your care.

I had a tendon rupture repair operation yesterday. The Entire team that worked with me was outstanding. Randy, Jodie, the anesthesiologist, the recovery nurse, and others made my whole situation wonderful, under the circumstances. Thank you for employing such professional, kind, and encouraging staff. It really made a difference for me and my wife!! Thank you

Very disappointed in overall experience at the hospital. Brought my nephew in for extreme nerve pain due to a sunburn. He had a rare reaction called Hell’s Itch which is excruciating nerve pain often describes a thousands of fire ants trying to claw out of your skin. The boy spent HOURS screaming and writhing in pain before we decided to go to hospital hoping for some relief.

The woman checking into the ER was great. She truly seemed to care and understand the extreme pain and discomfort my nephew was in. That was where the compassion seemed to end.

The Dr who came in was extremely dismissive and chuckled when my nephew mentioned Hell’s Itch. Dr. Cooper literally looked at him for 10 seconds, smirked and said “you just have a sunburn” and walked out of the room. He clearly had never heard of this and wasn’t even willing to look into it. Instead he dismissed us.

We were then ignored for an hour. I continuously peeked out of the room to get attention from someone as my nephew was getting another flair up and was starting to develop the extreme pain again. Four people in the main area and not one of them looked up and acknowledged me. We had to
Listen to them discussing politics and tariffs (literally) as my nephew was in extreme pain and discomfort.

I finally got someone’s attention and very politely explained that we had a flight in a few hours so I wanted to get an update of the plan they had for him and to gauge if we needed to cancel our flight home. The woman who I asked was polite and went to ask the NP. She then came back and said “the nurse said you should just cancel your flight.” Excuse me? How about someone come talk to us and explain what the plan of action was to help this poor child in pain! Meanwhile, 30 mins later we were out the door with a shot of Benedryl and Steroids. Thankfully I did not cancel our flight and we were able to get fly back to NY after a very uncomfortable flight.

The next morning, my nephew was still in extreme pain, screaming and moaning so we took him to Urgent Care here in NY. Thankfully, the Dr had heard of Hells Itch and was extremely kind & compassionate. He explained that it feels like your nerve endings are on fire all over & that it was extremely painful. They literally say people get suicidal ideations from how painful this is.

Overall, we felt dismissed and ignored at Englewood Hospital by the Dr and staff. Compassionate care is so important and listening to your patients to make them feel validated and heard is even more important. Hoping we never have to return to this hospital or that you are able to improve things for your patients.

I was scheduled for surgery 1/24/25 which started and then was postponed. I was admitted overnight for observation and antibiotic IV treatment then dismissed 1/26/25. The nursing and support service was exemplary and very caring. Everyone was concerned for my well-being. I was very pleased for the attention from post-op thru dismissal. The food quality served during two meals resembled a 5-star restaurant. I was thoroughly pleased.

The Emergency Department was wonderful. All of the staff were kind, caring and compassionate. I appreciated that we were moved to a care area right away rather than sitting in the waiting room. I found the nurses and doctor to be knowledgeable and thorough. I will not hesitate to return the next time I need care.

I cannot thank each person involved in my care enough. I had to go to ER and although it was a long stay since I had to have a CT scan and then an ultrasound, everyone was super helpful and kind. I was then admitted to have gallbladder removed. All the nurses, CNAs, lab techs, kitchen staff, etc. were absolutely ideal. Dr. McCloskey did the surgery...very trusted and professional and kind. The surgical staff was great too. Truly every person I came in contact with was there for me and I could not have had a better experience. I just wish I could remember everyone's names to thank them. I am so grateful!
