My Aunt was in Hawthorne for several weeks,and I really appreciate all the care and compassion that they gave her. I especially want to thank Kay, Marcie, and Yari for their kindness and empathy that they gave my aunt.

The reason I am writing this is because we went to visit the facility today to tour the place as a possible placement for my MIL for Long Term Care. We walked into the reception area. Saw the top of the head of the receptionist and she peeked up at us and promptly put her head back down. I walked up and said hello, she was sitting slouched down in here chair, feet propped up on another chair, staring at her phone. Once I addressed her she looked up from the phone. I asked if they had long term care at this facility. She told me she didn't know and sent us to wander off on our own to find a nurse to ask. We started to head back but once we got to the double doors, we didn't feel right about doing that. The residents deserve safety. I did not feel my MIL would be safe in a place they just let anyone walk in off the street.

This is the place to be if you are looking for the worst care possible!

We had a terrible experience at this facility. Nurses and CNAs do as little as possible. They do not care to make sure people have access to good care. Social Workers let us know we were cut from insurance 3 days later. She had to leave early on Friday. They can not provide a vegetarian diet. The cook was rude about it. I am still waiting on a call from the DON and administrator. The one star is it looks clean.

Rosby McIntosh had a great experience at Hawthorne rehabilitation I enjoy all the workers that took great care of me.a couple of people I want acknowledge Tina, Samantha, Paula, Ernesto, Bonnie the nurse, and Nikki the nurse I really appreciate all the ones who took really good care of me. But my favorite one was Ernesto he went over and beyond he made that I was taking good care of. My experience there was great. I pray that everyone have a wonderful and bless Holiday is my prayer 🙏🙏🙏

Front desk, receptionist, unfriendly, and I’m welcoming speech therapist Holly is rude, unprofessional, inconsiderate, and lacks compassion. She wants to put everyone in memory care on purée diet, and refuses to reassess them. She is impossible to work with very rude and unprofessional to family members. Physical therapy was a hit or miss. Occupational therapy was great. The nursing staff and memory care was a hit or miss as well, only only two of the four nurses that I saw really care about the residence and their well-being. The other ones really should not work in memory care CNA‘s and text were OK with the exception of 2 that were very compassionate towards residence and family members and went above and beyond doing their jobs. I would not ever recommend anyone that I know and love to go anywhere near this place.

Visited my wife on Friday 12/13/24. Struggled to get my mobility buggy through the double doors since they are not electrically controllable. Once inside & after a slight forearm skin abrasion & a bandaid from the nurse on duty in the Garden Center my visit with Shleen (Audrey) was long overdue from an extended hospitalization from surgery. She looks like she is being well cared for. To my very pleasant surprise & without any prompting she immediately recognized me & in her words told the tending CNA that “This is my Husband”. I’ve shared some pictures & a short video of their Mother with her three girls who have each expressed along with myself how good Shleen appeared. We agree that she seems to be getting the total care that we wish for her.

Workers here are lazy and unprofessional. Every time I visited my mother her and her roommate been sitting in poop for hours waiting on someone to change them. My mother was here for 30 days and still wasn’t able to walk. On day 30 I get a call they had to rush my mother to the hospital. I get to the hospital she was in such poor condition she didn’t have her eye glasses so she didn’t know where she was and she was dress in someone else’s clothes that didn’t fit ! On top of that it was shorts when its 30 degrees outside ! My mother never wear shorts. She went from 155 pounds to 120 pounds. My mother beg me not to take her back now she’s getting home care and was able to walk again after 2 weeks ! Don’t bring your loved ones here if you are not able to visit them everyday because they will get neglected. And they change my mother health insurance without telling me or my sister. I can say so much more about this hell hole smh

Hawthorne Nursing Home has been absolutely amazing for my family's care. The staff is incredibly attentive and compassionate, always going above and beyond to ensure the comfort and well-being of their residents. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, creating a warm and welcoming environment. I couldn't be more grateful for the exceptional care provided at Hawthorne. Highly recommend!
