This is easily the worst place I've ever been to. They lied about having equine therapy, which is the primary reason I decided to come there for treatment. While I was there my case manager refused to call and confirm my short term disability leaving me unable to pay my rent.

The groups are pretty good. The staff here are sweet and caring, but managment is not.

When I arrived in January I explained that I had a upcoming cancer screening and that I needed to be discharged by the 14th of February as I had already purchased my flight ticket. They waited until four days before my flight and then informed me that I needed proof of my procdure. When I proved my procedure, they finally gave me my discharge.

The pools been out of service for a long time. It's algae filled and smells awful.

This facility is falling apart, broken railings are in the back of the building, its a safty hazard. The worst thing about this place are the maditory three hour breaks, where there is little to nothing to do.

On January 30, 2025, we received a phone call from an unnamed employee regarding my son’s infringement of a major rule governing patients at Harmony Hills. She told us his belongings were being collected, and he would be discharged from the treatment program. No other information was given pertaining to whether he would reside in a detention center or need legal counsel. We have reached out to several staff members leaving messages, but no one responds to our request. He supposedly has his mobile phone but neglects to reciprocate our inquiry. His mobile device may have been confiscated as instructed by staff personnel. Hopefully, he has a conduit to follow for coming home soon.
We realize failure to follow the governing rules has consequences. If he failed to follow the rules fraternizing with females, he must answer to the repercussions. We accept the facts. However, we do not know the facts, or the trivia associated with the circumstances. The lack of transparency is unconscionable considering the outcome of that phone call on January 30. His alcohol addiction and mental health are still paramount. We are worried his stability and cognizance may be affected if he is solo with no backup. Ostensibly, Harmony Hills’ executive decision to suspend him from their psychiatric treatment has made the situation worse. The action to leave him in a foreign area, outside the parameters, without knowledge of the surrounding area or having safe transportation available may have put the last nail in the coffin.
My son’s first mistake was not breaking their rules. His first misconception was to believe the facility would make a difference in his life. I have never witnessed just a blatant lie regarding Harmony Hills brochure detailing their dual-purpose Hippocratic oath. Compassion is not one of their mantras. After reading the reviews I am amazed the facility still has the license to treat such disparities. This place needs to be audited before future patients are deceived to believe that their method of treatment is standard. Who parades the accused before the entire compound population and uses the exercise as an example.
We should have contacted local authorities in Altoona to inquire about his presence. And we also needed to initiate a welfare check since no further correspondence was given.
Beware, don’t be bamboozled.

I am thrilled to share my experience with Harmony Hills, particularly the outstanding work of Danielle Owen. Her impressive dedication to the hospitals she collaborates with, the families of the patients, and the broader community is truly inspiring.

I have had the opportunity to witness Danielle in action during numerous phone calls and virtual meetings, and her passion for helping individuals struggling with mental health conditions is undeniable. She approaches each conversation with empathy and a genuine desire to make a difference, which greatly reassures families navigating these challenging times.

Danielle's strong relationships with local hospitals enhance the services at Harmony Hills, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care and support. Her commitment to fostering a supportive environment not only benefits the patients but also uplifts the entire community.

Harmony Hills is fortunate to have such a dedicated advocate on their team. If you're looking for a place that genuinely cares about mental health and well-being, I wholeheartedly recommend Harmony Hills!

I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible care my loved one received at Harmony Hills. After entering their mental health program, the clinical team made a world of difference in her journey. Diagnosed with schizophrenia, she faced significant challenges, including ongoing hallucinations, but the support she received was truly transformative.

The dedication and compassion of the team were evident from day one. They spent ample time working with her, helping her navigate her condition and providing the guidance she desperately needed. Their expertise in medication management was particularly impressive; they took the time to explain the importance of her treatment plan, ensuring she felt empowered and informed about her health.
It was heartening to see her progress, and I truly believe that without their support, it would have been a much more difficult journey.

I highly recommend Harmony Hills for anyone seeking dedicated, compassionate care for mental health challenges. They genuinely care about their patients and make a lasting impact on their lives. Thank you, Harmony Hills, for everything you have done for our family!

Our daughter recently graduated from this awesome program. She had been in treatment a few places before this and Harmony Hills provided comprehensive care like no other. Her therapist Ellie, Case Mgr Jameeka, Tech Shannon, Nurse and group leaders were excellent, knowledgeable, and caring. Our daughter said it was the best therapy she’d ever experienced and the first that worked on her trauma. Harmony also found an amazing IOP that she is currently participating in. We are eternally grateful for Harmony Hills!

My experience with Harmony Hills was a little different but overall, outstanding! I contacted them for residential care for my husband (depression, anxiety, and PTSD). The explanation of their facility, services and staff was very comprehensive. Their pre-assessment was easy to follow, understand and respond to. Unfortunately, because of my husband’s medical conditions, they couldn’t provide the level of medical care he needed. This makes sense because they are not a ā€œmedical facilityā€. What I want to share is that their support for me and my husband didn’t stop after denial. Tyler, from their client liaison team, reached out and helped me find another facility that could support my husband’s medical needs as well. He followed up with me daily (sometimes several times a day), wanted to make sure my husband was OK, safe, and even offered a support group for me to attend for those that have loved ones in rehab. I can’t say enough about Harmony Hills and the associates that I interacted with. They are professional, caring, and empathetic. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this treatment facility!
