From the down to earth, fun, yet professional receptionist, to Doc Martens himself, it's almost a joy to to visit.
Doctor Martens is very tuned in to my concerns. He listens carefully to my opinion as well. He goes over every current issue and sets straight to work to find a solution. Doctor Martens makes every effort to make sure I understand the test results, and any changes necessary in my R.A. health journey.
He's very personable and witty.
They are a great team! I feel fortunate to be under their care.❤️‍🔥

I'm getting really fed up with this doctor. His bedside manner is apauling, he never examines you, even when you tell him you're having issues. All's he says is you need to be on meds, for all's he knows I could have broken something or worse, without actually examination how can you know how to treat a patient. He also bills like he has examined you when he has not. It is pointless even going to see him anymore for what to have a 2 min conversation and be sent away with meds.

Dr. Martens is wonderful. He sits down and talks with me. I am not just a body to him. Dr.Martens explains in detail any questions you have and makes sure you understand what he is saying At my former doctor I was diagnosed with all kinds of diseases but had no symptoms. Dr. Martens uses common sense in dealing with me

I’ve been seeing Dr. Martens for a few years now and think he is a wonderful doctor and a very good person.

I am very impressed that he reviewed my medical records before he came into the room to see what issues I have been having prior to our visit, and was able to discuss it with me in relation to my current symptoms.

He is extremely knowledgeable and listens to what you have to say. He explains everything you need to know about symptoms changes and makes sure you have the right medication. Since I have systemic lupus with multiple manifestations, he takes the time to discuss each problem. I’m having and ensures that I have the right medicine at the right time.

He is a well-trained, well respected doctor, with multiple years of valuable experience!

Beware of Martens. He misdiagnosed me with RA for two years and placed me on prednisone and hydroxychloroquine. He would never answer any questions about my prognosis and why he wasn’t placing me on methotrexate, the first line of treatment for RA. I got suspicious and got a second opinion which is difficult to do in the Destin/FWB area due to a shortage of Rheumatologists (one group). I went to Pensacola and saw Dr. Brian Kirby whom I highly recommend. He took an ultrasound of my hands and retested my labs, walked in and completely overturned Martens’ diagnosis stating I NEVER had RA! My husband is a medical professional (anesthetist) and we both couldn’t believe what we were hearing! Long story short, we moved out-of-state and I just saw a wonderful hand surgeon who also said I never had RA and diagnosed me with CMC joint arthritis which is now bone on bone arthritis at the base of both thumbs. I have been through a lot of pain, unnecessary worry and placed on medication I didn’t need that has long-term side effects. Please beware of this doctor go see Dr. Brian Kirby or someone out of the Destin/FWB area.
