I split a tooth that was cutting my tongue. I located two dental practices that looked good for my needs. I sent Gulf Dental a message on their website telling them I needed help with a broken tooth that was cutting my tongue on Wednesday morning. No reply by Thursday morning so I called. After explaining that my tooth chipped and was cutting my tongue I was told they were closed on Friday and Monday they were booked. After making an appointment I was asked if my tooth was hurting other than cutting my tongue. So Tuesday at 11 AM I went in. I spoke with the dentist and told her I was sure that I needed a crown and that my tooth was cutting my tongue. I then asked her about obtaining a crown and was told I would need a temporary and it might crack off but she would give me some cement so I could cement it back on if I needed to. She said she would be on vacation next week so my timing wasn't good. She then said that her practice "doesn't really accommodate new patients." After our brief discussion I played the conversation back in my mind and realized that not once did she express any concern for me or my mouth. In fact she plainly told me she doesn't accommodate new patients. I politely told her I believed that I was in the wrong place. She replied "oh, ok, have a nice day." So I went home with my bleeding tongue and called my second choice. Immediately after lunch they worked me in and yes I need a crown. They smoothed down my tooth so that it is no longer hurting me and scheduled me for a new crown a week from today. No temporary crown required. So if you think you may need a new crown apparently the technology is available to now do crowns all at once without a temporary (2 hour visit). I definitely believe I made the correct choice in leaving Gulf Dental. Hopefully next Tuesday my tooth will be 100 % repaired. Check the attached picture from her office. First time here and am impressed already. My sisters both go here and they told me they loved Dr. Mason and her staff. I can see why. Amazing, professional, personable and caring. Have never been a big fan of dentists in general, but I felt completely at ease. So relieved to have found a dentist I believe I can trust and it's close to home and work.

My experience with Gulf dental was nothing short of the way you want dental visits to go. The staff was amazing and friendly. Ms Mary is very professional. They took very good care of me and made the whole thing as painless as possible. And that says alot after 3 extractions and 8 fill ins. I highly recommend.

After coming to this office for over a year and receiving two root canals from Dr. Mason I am confident that I will never be back. She has been so rough on my mouth, even after expressing that I am not comfortable. If you are looking for a gentle dentist that respects you and treats you as more than a revolving patient this is not the office for you.
