It is evident that Lisa takes her duties as a therapist very seriously by establishing herself in an under-served community of veterans, providing them with mental health services that is readily available and within reasonable driving distance. She is passionate about helping others which radiates from her eyes and soul. Her sessions are like a much-needed hug after a difficult day.

Over a 30 year period I tried, unsuccessfully, to find a therapist I felt good about. Deciding each time that therapy wasn't for me. Four years ago, in desperation, I told my VA psychiatrist I wanted a female therapist and was sent to Lisa. Unbeknownst to her, it was my plan to tell it all and be done with life. Lisa is compassionate, I know she feels every bit of the pain I feel. Professional, insightful, she asks questions, not just "and how does that make you feel", she doesn't have to ask how you feel, she's already there. I didn't believe anyone could lead me to change my thoughts and behaviors from decades of trauma. Occasionally, and rarely, do I meet someone who I believe was born to do exactly what they do, but I truly believe helping others in her unique way is what she was born to do and I'm forever grateful.

I've been in treatment here for PTSD for two years, and my life has gotten nothing but better. This practice sees only VA patients through the Community Care Network (CCN). The claim made earlier that GCTG charges $240 a session is completely false and due to HIPPA laws selling your info is completely illegal. Monthly statements from VA CCN show exactly what GCTG is paid per session, not that vets have to pay for services to begin with. If you are a vet in need of MH services, I highly recommend Gulf Coast Therapy Group.
