I see Dr Larson and he’s far and away one of the best doctors I’ve ever seen. He listens to all my issues and comes up with a solid plan for treatment based on my personal preferences. His PA is also really wonderful and I have had nothing but positive experiences from this office. If I had one criticism it would be it’s a little difficult to get through sometimes and get an appointment.

My very first visit here was a joke. Dr.Fountain seen me for 2 mins and sent me on my way. Had absolutely no interest in getting to know me as his patient or hear me about anything. I then had a few appointments with the nurse practitioner whom was AMAZING! She was great! The office staff is absolutely rude and neglectful along with Dr Fountains nurse. She told me yesterday my prescription would be sent over so I went to get it last night when I was off and looked so stupid because it was not there. I called them this morning and acted like they had no idea what I was talking about I have called 8 am, 11 am, 1 pm, and now 4 pm and got the run around all day then for the nurse to tell me she had questions she left on my voice mail for me. When I called back at 1 pm I was told those questions were answered and didn’t need to be asked. When calling back at 4 I was rudely told I left you a voicemail and had questions. I asked for a manager two times and got transferred to other people. I did at 1 pm get transferred to what I was told the managers voicemail and left a voicemail and have heard NOTHING! This office is a joke!

I tried for 5 weeks, calling every single week to get either Dr Fountain or his nurse to call me back about the Farxiga that he prescribed me, to take the place of my glipizide supplement to go with my metformin, for type 2 diabetes. Nobody ever called anything in to my pharmacist nor returned my call! Finally on the 5th call, after 5 weeks, I was told by 1 of the receptionists that she had just tried to call me and left a voicemail for me. LIES! There was no voicemail and later that evening, I got a text that I had a prescription for glipizide that was ready...30 day supply WITH NO REFILLS! This is maintenance med, not a damn narcotic! And so I will be finding a new doctor with a nurse that takes care of their patients needs.

Dr. Larson is great but the front office staff is horrible. Dr. Larson wrote a script for me on 3/6/2024. It is 4/22/2024 and the front staff has yet to successfully submit the pre-authorization. It is now 6.5 weeks since I have had the chance to talk to Dr. Larson. My insurance company has called his front office and spoke with Megan; however she was not able to assist. I have personally called Megen and Mandy with no resolution. I cannot get through to Dr Larson or his nurse Amy. My aunt and uncle had the same issues. Horrible, rude front office. Don't waste your time. Little to no customer service. Not affiliated with BBB so no recourse.

I saw a Dr.Joseph Fountain at Gulf Coast physician partners. The man is the WORST physician I have ever seen! He is COMPLETELY INEPT and needs to retire IMMEDIATELY. He has ZERO INITIATIVE and is nothing but uncooperative. Add my appointment yesterday I asked him what the report said about me 6 weeks earlier and he said he DIDN'T REMEMBER🙄.He does not know what snow vision is. One thing I have is a problem with anxiety. I told him I heard that nicotine from cigarette smoking can cause anxiety and he said he has not heard of that. The man is a threat to one's health. I think the clown got his medical degree from a CrackerJack box😂. I am l making an official complaint to the AMA and want this man gone. Gulf Coast Physician Partners is a low-grade operation not affiliated with anybody and they should lock their doors. I hope Mr.Fountain (you notice how I said Mr. instead of Dr.)has been saving his money because I cannot see him being in the line of work he is in for much longer. AVOID THIS MAN AND THE PRACTICE HE WORKS FOR

I honestly never made it past making an appointment. The phone call started with we only have one doctor taking new patients. I said OK. She said are you taking any narcotics because we will not give you any narcotics. I said I don't need any narcotics! She said are you taking any and I said yes I am taking Xanax and she said we are not going to give you any Xanax! I said I don't need any Xanax! I'm not looking for any narcotics. This is called "drug shaming."
She never got any information from me. She never asked me my name or why I was calling, nothing! It was straight into narcotics! All I wanted was to get in with a primary care physician for a mass on the top of my spine that has tripled in size over the past few weeks.
I was told I needed to have a primary care physician to be referred and plus since moving here I needed a primary care doctor anyways. This was so unacceptable! I see why they only have 3.1 stars. We have to give them one just to leave them a review. Don't waste your time!
I really needed help and this is what I got.
I've also posted it to my TikTok page that has 4.6 million engagements.
This is not how you start a relationship with a new patient! This is so unnecessary!

I have been seeing Dr. Larson here for a few years after my former doctor retired during Covid. Dr Larson has been a great doctor to visit, and I feel as though he is incredbily knowledgable. He genuinely is one of the best doctors I’ve seen. That being said, his office staff has sharply declined in quality of service over the last few months. The office staff used to be incredibly friendly, welcoming, and efficent. If I had problems in the past, they were solved for me by his top-tier office staff. Now, however, the office staff’s quality has declined to the point of absolute medical negligence. I have a prescription that I take; that without it makes it functionally impossible to live a good quality life when I have an attack. Dr Larson reccommended this medication to me, and I have been thrilled to have it since then. Recently, my prescription ran out and I requested a refill over the phone. I visited my standard pharmacy, CVS, to see if they had it. No refill was ever sent. So I recontacted the doctor’s office for the refill. A week later - same story. Then, due to my job, I switched over to a medication service that delivers meds to your door. I called the doctor’s office, explained what happened, and requested they send it to the new company. Same thing - a week later and nothing. Naturally, I call back. The lady who answered the phone listened to my issue and stated “okay ill get it taken care of” and then hung up. Amazingly, a month later, NOTHING. So today I call the pharmacy and ask for an update. Would you be shocked to know that after 2 1/2 months now….still nothing. So, on my behalf, the rep at the pharmacy sends all the paperwork to the doctor’s office for them to fill out. (Mind you this is the 5th time Ive called the office in 2 1/2 months) So, I call the office and was basically ushered off the phone by the person who answered. I informed her of that the pharmacy has sent everything over that needs to be filed, and the exact verbiage that the pharmacy rep gave me. I was rushed off the phone and given zero confirmation for anything received or any action to be taken. This following week, if I am still without medication, I will unfortunately have to switch doctors. As much as I appreciate Doctor Larson, it is not only me that has been dealing with his awful staff recently. I know a fellow patient of his that has gone weeks without diabetes medication due to their refusal to process refills properly. This negligence is as reprehensible as it is unprofessional

Dr visit on July 17, 2023, I asked for a referral for colonoscopy screening. Dr. states if I don't hear back in 2 weeks call office. 2 weeks later I called the office lady says she'll leave message for Dr. I then called after 4 weeks and had to hear about how someone was filling in for someone else. It's been 6 weeks still no call. Called my insurance company and found a Dr in network that I don't need a referral for. There's just no excuse for this kind of incompetence when all that is needed is someone to pick up a phone.
