I never had an issue with my therapist. In fact I loved working with her. I got into a situation where I had to cancel the night before my appointment and i got a text saying they were going to charge the 200.00 cancellation fee for missing the appointment. Now, I had explained to them many times I am unemployed and had been unemployed for 10 months that me and my wife were really struggling financially that there is no way I’ll be able to pay the $200.00. Not seeing that I had many options I felt like I was forced to cancel all future sessions since I was not going to be able to pay the money.

I tried to call the office manager to explain the situation and why I had made the impulsive decision to cancel all my future appointments because I felt stuck and didn’t see that I had any options. I asked is there anything that can be done and she gave me an attitude and basically said no we are discontinuing all services to you.

I texted my therapist saying how I really didn’t want to stop therapy and I didn’t want to find a new therapist after building a trust with her several months I didn’t want to start over with someone else. I told her I would miss her and that maybe from time to time I can send her text just letting her know that I’m doing okay.. she replied a day later saying that once services stop she’s not able to have any communication with me and she wished me luck. I have to admit this really hurt me I felt tossed aside and it broke me a little. I told my wife you know what “ I don’t want to find another therapist. I don’t want to start all over again just to then maybe get hurt again and keep ripping open this wound.”

Today I got a call from the clinical director. I called her back I was hoping she was calling me to see if there was something that can be worked out. But the. Call ended up being pointless because when i asked is there anything that can be done so that I don’t have to start over with someone else, and she said no unfortunately that is no longer an option at this time.

So if you are thinking of getting services here just think twice because I don’t think they really care about their patients feels like we are just a $ to them and get tossed aside. Don’t open yourself up to that heartache.
