I've been going to this clinic for 5 years.I am absolutely.
Pleased with this clinic. I love the staff. All dr visits are free, all meds are free. I don't know what I would do without them. I'm aging out in 2 months and I'm sad to have to leave them. I'm going to miss each and every one of them. From Tom who does the intake, to dawn to Cara, dr Lowe and Christian. Bob is awesome, I'm going to miss you all so much. If you don't have insurance this place with help you.

These people are only interested in helping themselves to funding - they will not help me because I only have 1 proof of where I live - I’m desperate and need help and they won’t help because of that . I’m poor and basically homeless so what else can I give them to prove I live here? They treated me like a 3rd world citizen and spoke down to me every conversation I had with them, I just needed basic female care. Now I’m sick still, no insurance and just needed a basic prescription. But they are saving the care for people who need it I guess. I was in tears begging them for help and they did not care. I still need help if anyone out there cares to do so. Thanks for nothing Good Samaritan — change y’all’s name it’s a joke.

Absolutely the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with, and no hospitality or understanding. You get run around after run around. Sure it's free, but at what cost of sanity for the patient? I'm on life sustaining medication and they have threatened to cut off my supply because they told me one day the hospital blood work was good enough and to come in and sign a release, then calls the wrong number on file to cancel my appointment (so I came in to a cancelled appointment), to then be told to get the blood work the following morning from LabCorp, which I do, only to then be told I wasted my time with more absolute rudeness on the phone, and rather demeaning people.

Honestly, you should tape the calls if you can, because they'll even claim they didn't say something to you when they very clearly did. There's zero communication between employee's it seems, and after every doctor and hospital I have ever been at in my life, I have never had one that treated me so horribly as this one. I used to drive 2 and a half hours to another free doctor, and they were always kind, helpful, and if they messed up they knew I drove a long distance and would work to help you. This place, no, that simply isn't going to happen. I get it they are volunteers, but you have a duty to show some compassion, not just be rude to your patience because you are volunteering. I've volunteered for many thins that were even without reward, and I still did it with a smile on my face. Now I'm on medication that is required for my heart or I will die, being put on Prozac that you can't even be taken off cold turkey, and it's excuse after excuse with the attitude from them. I even have been told on the phone they carry Prozac, only to be told in the office they do not, and when confronted about it, they tell me "Oh yea we do actually". What in the world is going on here?

I'll be considering a different place, because this is just such an absolute nightmare of a place. And sometimes when you DO get medicine, it has someone else name and RX number under the label with your name on it. (I know that they accept donated medicine which is ok if it's closed, but it's good HIPAA practice to rip the old label off, not leave some other patience name on the bottle. Even North Bay hospital was in shock when they saw how they are packaging medications.)

EDIT: I now go to Premier, and the service is FAR nicer. Not only were they easily able to get my medical records from the hospital, they found something in my CT scan causing pain. Good Samaritan never once got my medical records despite signing their authorization form 3 times while giving me attitude. Premier were not only extremely professional, they were very friendly and had absolutely the best bedside manners, from the doctors AND the staff. Go to them instead, you don't get a run around. I got treated on my first visit, whereas Good Samaritan had me visit 3 times before I ever saw a doctor.

They do everything they can for me and are excited to find new ways to help. I've never had such good medical care, even when I was insured. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing people doing volunteer work!

I was turned away from them today because I had no proof of income of my elderly parents that I am temporarily living with. I have 0 income, so I guess you actually have to be homeless to get care in my case. They did however give me a beautifully laminated business card for 2-1-1. That should be helpful with my health issue.

Application process is not easy, but worth it! These people realy care! They are all so amazing! One of the ladys at the front can be rough, but dont let that discourage you. I recieved better care here then when I had the best insurance and went to all the " best" Dr.s. Can not thank them enough! Love this place. Redeemed my hopes and faith in people.

If you work for a living this is NOT the clinic for you! The waits are extremely long and they do not have any considerations for employed patients. Then when you come back to get your meds more waiting! It’s truly unrealistic for anyone who works unless you want to use all your personal time off work on waiting to be seen here.
