I’m super conflicted. I have been going here since I was in high school. I love my midwife. She has been with me throughout two miscarriages. I am now currently pregnant and had my ultrasound scheduled for today. Naturally, I am very anxious when it comes to this because of my previous pregnancies. I got a call today informing that my ultrasound was cancelled and would need to be rescheduled. They still wanted me to see the midwife which was fine. I was not opposed to going in because it still relieves some anxiety. My husband and I are on the way to the appointment when we get a call that our appointment was being cancelled due to my account going to collections and me being discharged as a patient. Twenty minutes before my appointment. Naturally, I was upset and angry. I called and sat on hold for twenty minutes while crying and waiting to speak with the biller. She informed me that my secondary insurance denied my claims, however they never billed my primary insurance. They have had my primary insurance on file since I first started attending and I let them know I got a secondary in 2023. None of my claims were getting denied until May of 2024. I called both insurances to get references numbers and spent the rest of my afternoon trying to settle that just so I can call the biller back and leave her a message. I am truly frustrated with this experience here. I used to recommend this place to all of my friends and can’t say I will continue to do so. The providers are all great but I am just simply disappointed in such a large mistake like this occurring.

I have been trying to get seen by a gynecologist for two months, but have been repeatedly told that the wait to be seen would be months out. I spoke with Mary and was told that April would be the first available appointment, but she took the time to check for anything that had opened up sooner, and she found me an appointment much sooner. She was extremely helpful and empathetic, as I have been having ongoing issues, and I can't thank her enough. I am hoping this is a sign of good things to come at FWMG! Fingers crossed!

I been seeing Dr. KOPAZ and Stephanie for long time. They are great. The front desk person Daisy need some customer service skill. When I arrived today I was told my appointment was canceled. I told her that I got ge reminder call on Thursday. She said our callers don't know. I informed her how they don't know when my appointment was on 21st but your office called me and wanted to reschedule, so it was reschedule for today. With attitude she kept telling me well they don't know. She was very rude. Providers been great and Office Manager Crystal was great.

I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt when I waited more than an hour to be seen for my first prenatal appointment, but my second appointment was an hour wait as well. My third appointment was scheduled for 8:30 a.m. and I ended up walking out at 10:15 because I had to get back to work and couldn't wait any longer. No communication whatsoever about the delay or when Dr. Reinholt would be in. I switched to a different doctor after that third experience.

I’m surprised to see some bad reviews about this office! I have had nothing but good experiences from phone calls to prenatal visits to postpartum care. I was searching for a midwife when Elizabeth Reinholt popped up in a Google search, and I’m so so glad I found her. Leaving each prenatal visit, I would tell my husband how appreciative I am of her. I had the best birth experience and it would not have been possible without her help!

I never reviewed a facility with bad words or statements but this is too much.
Every time I call to make an appointment the team is very rude. Like today I was trying to choose a time so I can fit in my schedule but this girl was hella rude.

Said “oh my goodness”, when I asked her afternoon and morning availabilities.
They never learned communication and etiquette of attending client and assisting them.

Usually, I don’t write reviews, but I need to say something about this place.

No disrespect, but they were deliberately rude to me just couple of minutes ago. They cancelled my appointment without asking if I use any insurance and they had to cancel it because I have Medi-Cal which I do, but I never use it, I use my other insurance which covers almost 100%. This woman Kim hung up on me deliberately after I called back regarding the insurance that I was going to clear things out. Excuse my language, but that was a douche-bag move and unprofessional.

I was going to try to call back at 1:30 regarding their lunch hours, but I don’t want to work things out with them to get this resolved.

I do not recommend this place, go to a different women’s medical group.

By the way, the reason I have Medi-Cal is because I have a disability so when they cancelled my appointment and hung up on me deliberately, that’s a discrimination so if anyone knows how to file complaint against this place, I’d like to do it as soon as possible. I struggled at first with sharing my experience here because I didn’t want to make it a big deal, however, it is a big deal. I am in complete disbelief over the unprofessional and insensitive nature of the front desk/receptionist that I spoke to. I was called one day before my appointment to confirm that I was still coming in. I informed the woman I was speaking to, who’s name was Kim, that I had unfortunately had a miscarriage and would need to change the type of appointment from an ultrasound to just a check up to make sure that everything is okay. I let her know that I was still coming in, but that I wanted to inform her of this so that they knew before I came in.

Any normal and empathetic human response would have been “I am so sorry to hear that”. Kim’s response was, “how do you know you had a miscarriage, did you go to the hospital?”. Now I understand they need to make sure that it was confirmed and that I didn’t just assume, however, her response could have been “I am so sorry to hear this. When were you able to confirm this and were you able to do so at a dr’s office or a hospital?”. I would have received that so much better and informed her that I went to the hospital and it was confirmed.

After I answered her initial question of “how do you know you had a miscarriage?” . She tells me, “go ahead and still come in tomorrow and we will just check to make sure there is nothing left in your uterus”. I was completely shattered by this statement. I am well aware what needs to happen when a miscarriage takes place. This would have been my first child and I was so deeply disappointed by her response because it felt so disposable and like it meant nothing to her.

I didn't need her to feel bad or pity me, I needed her to be mindful of her responses because this has been the most difficult and heartbreaking thing I’ve been through and it’s only been one month since I found out.

To Fresno women’s medical group, please re-train your staff on having an empathetic approach when speaking to patients. It is crucial when working in a healthcare setting to be kind. I look forward to the day I am pregnant again and can visit a facility the prioritizes the wellbeing of their patients.
