This place is the most corrupt rehab I've ever seen. They stole my uncle's personal items. A cell phone, wallet and house keys..
I tracked the cell phone to the facility. And nobody would help us get it. They left us in the lobby for 2 hours hoping we would leave. The curly red haired girl in the front just kept lying to us about someone coming to help. Avoid this place like the plague.

I just want to thank FLBH for the charity work they provided paying my insurance deductible and taking care of me when I really needed medication regulation. Also, the out patient clinic is so convenient, you can often get appointments the next day. For inpatient clients, just so you know, the food is superb and you can bring your own clothes in. If you’re in jeopardy, they will take care of you. Don’t let money or the feeling of being trapped in a hospital keep you from freeing yourself of the chains that are really trapping you in life. Take their help! They’re there for you!

Great service. Detox unit and free art class was fantastic. Kudos to Maria, Marie, Lita and all the francophone ladies and gentlemen who tried to make me feel safe and welcome. #PuraVida

PS don’t let them waste the Kashmir tanned fleece 😘

This place made me wish my attempt worked. Transferred from a kid's hospital to this place because the original didn't have beds. After calling and saying they have space, I was put in admissions for 26 hours. Nobody here knows what they're doing tbh. Techs had a problem with girls in gown trying to cover up with a blanket , yet they never put an end to arguments until they were physical. They don't care about the patients, they care about the money. I hope this place shuts down.

This will be my first day outside of the baker act unit according to my unalienable right to freedom of speech constitutionally. I absolutely loved my stay at this baker act unit so I am sad and discouraged to see that there is any bad reviews about this hospital that takes exceptional care of their patients. During my first day at this. Unit I was ensured my mania would be taken care of and fortunately it was taken care of so well that I have the confidence to go un-medicated. I speak multiple languages but my Bible helps my maintain my English. Thank you everyone for such a great stay.

The Dr.
Dr. Redondo was very friendly and showed care, she tried her best to convince my husband to be admitted however my husband declined. Very professional, and accurate, very concerned. I was disappointed at my husband for not staying. However chances are he will go voluntarily tomorrow. After the visit my husband seemed calmed and more aware of his condition.❤️

Avoid this place at all costs. I had a family member stay there, and I can tell you that the reviews are true. Upon arriving at the facility at close to 1am, she was locked in a waiting room for 11 hours to await her assessment and room. The waiting room had no bed, only chairs and bright overhead lights, making sleep impossible. She sat in the chair for 11 hours until almost 12pm when she was finally let out and allowed to go to her room. During that time she was also denied use of the phone to let her loved ones know of her whereabouts. The room was disgusting and had obviously never been cleaned after the last patient. The shower had hair all over it, the floor around the bed was very sticky, and there were ants all over the room.

After meeting with the NP and asking about when she would be released (the Baker Act is 72 hours), she was threatened and told they could just re-Baker Act her if she tried to leave voluntarily. My family members and I called the facility multiple times a day. It was near impossible to get in touch with any one there. Her husband was actually told that they had no record of her being a patient at the facility. Not even her psychologist could get through. The real kicker is that when she was finally able to leave, she was asked to complete a patient satisfaction survey. The social worker told her she could just put a line all the way down, marking “very satisfied.” She said “you don’t need to worry about reading it.” Then she stood there to watch her fill out the survey. This place needs to be shut down. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy there.

My mother was recently hospitalized on the 4th floor of Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center, and I am deeply grateful for the care and attention she received. The staff demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and dedication to her well-being during a challenging time. From the nurses to the therapists, everyone was approachable and kept me informed about her progress.
Special thanks to the team for their kindness and understanding, not only toward her but also toward our family. It made all the difference to know she was in capable and caring hands.
I highly recommend Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center for anyone seeking quality mental health care for their loved ones.”
