Love that they have a cleaning section when you walk in. I felt safe enough to shop. I saw an employee sweeping throughout the store as well. They didn't seem to be running out of everything and had lots of produce. They are now charging for bags so bring your own! (July 2020)

Subject: Formal Complaint About a Cashier's Behavior

Dear Foodmaxxx Clayton Management,

I'm writing this to express my disappointment and concern regarding an incident that I encountered on 14th January 2025, at approximately 5:30PM. Foodmaxxx Clayton has been my weekly shopping destination due to its organized layout, decent prices, and friendly staff - attributes that benefit my work with elderly homes.

However, my most recent visit was marred by an unhelpful and discourteous encounter with one of the cashiers. This male, Caucasian cashier's behavior was frankly, inappropriate and inconsiderate. I believe no customer should be rushed and humiliated in such a manner, especially while trying to efficiently organize their purchases at the checkout counter.

I found myself hurried to put my large number of items into bags and my cart. According to this cashier, I was causing traffic. Despite my plea for understanding, given the volume of my purchase, he was persistent in his gruff and inconsiderate behavior. His retorts left me feeling humiliated in the presence of other customers.

As a regular Foodmaxxx customer who continues to choose your store despite the ongoing inflation and price increases, I firmly believe that such treatment is unacceptable.

This cashier's behavior reflects poorly on your company. I urge you to take appropriate action against him to preserve Foodmaxxx's reputation for excellent customer service.

I guess I need to remind myself before shopping that everything everywhere has shot way up in price. But typically, Foodmax is about 10% cheaper on most of there items. Not so much now days. Disappointing.

Good prices, long wait usually for the checkout

I shop here often and I'm used to the long lines for checkout. Today was a bad experience with confusion over a sale item. I saw the Chicken Stock on the shelf with a sign advertising it was .25 I get to the register and it rings up for $3.99 I asked why because it seems clearly marked .25 cents. I was told that the ones on the shelf aren't on sale, only the Chicken Broth! Why don't you fix it? You know it's wrong!!!

Great prices on basic items. Only one cashier open. Even though he was swamped, the cashier had a great attitude. I would recommend this place if you need basic items and are on a budget.

Best prices in Concord. Staff always friendly and helpful. Their bakery items are very good. I can usually find everything I need. Gets very busy sometimes and then they could use more checkers.
Bathroom is always clean and well stocked.
I do wish people would stop stealing the electric carts. I depend on them so I can shop and they are not cheap to replace.
