I recently underwent surgery at Florida Medical Hospital on February 25, 2025 and I cannot express enough gratitude for the outstanding care I received from the entire hospital staff. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was met with warmth, professionalism, and genuine concern for my well-being.

Every member of the team, from the receptionists to the nurses, doctors, and surgical staff, demonstrated an incredible level of kindness and dedication. They made what could have been a stressful and overwhelming experience into one filled with comfort, reassurance, and confidence in my care.

The pre-operative nurses took the time to explain every step of the process, ensuring I felt at ease before surgery. Their patience and willingness to answer all my questions made me feel like I was in the best hands. The surgical team was equally amazing—highly skilled, efficient, and compassionate. The surgeon thoroughly explained the procedure and ensured I was mentally and emotionally prepared, which made a world of difference.

After surgery, the post-operative care I received was nothing short of exceptional. The nurses checked on me regularly, making sure I was comfortable, managing my pain effectively, and providing words of encouragement that truly lifted my spirits. Their attentiveness and gentle approach made my recovery so much easier. I never felt like just another patient; I felt genuinely cared for.

Even the hospital staff outside of my immediate medical team played a role in my positive experience. Housekeeping staff, food service personnel, and administrative workers all carried a friendly and helpful attitude that contributed to a peaceful and healing environment.

I am beyond grateful for the professionalism, compassion, and exceptional care I received at Florida Medical Hospital. It is clear that the staff there are truly dedicated to their patients, treating them not just as individuals in need of medical attention, but as people deserving of kindness, respect, and dignity.

Thank you to everyone who played a role in my surgery and recovery. Your hard work, dedication, and genuine care have made an incredible impact on my life, and I will always be grateful! If anyone is looking for a hospital that goes above and beyond in providing outstanding medical care, Florida Medical Hospital is the place to be.

Everything was good till it came time for my medication. Tell me why I had to call everyday since released to get medication sent to my pharmacy. It’s been a whole week that I’ve been trying. Finally my pharmacy was able to get ahold of the doctor themselves TODAY so I could get the medication I needed!!

Oh, not to mention whoever works in the ER that directs calls started hanging up on me!! I’m sorry that my medication is for seizures and it’s important that I get them!

This is single handedly the worst hospital staff I've ever experienced. They are judgemental and talk badly about patients in front of their face. One nurse even vented to me about an experience with a different patient using explicit language. Ive been crying in pain for hours and not a single thing has been done except comparing my situation to others and accusing me of not being in pain and only wanting the medication. The nurses have spent more time sitting down making jokes and talking about patients than actually doing their job. I'm appalled by this behavior and confused as to how they are getting away with this disgusting behavior. All they do is gossip. What I can say though, it's not EVERY nurse there are a handful of good ones but the rotten ones make it harder to recognize.

These people are literally killing my mom
My mom never had nothing heavier than Tylenol
She was talking on the phone and everything they started giving her methadone, after the second dose, she never spoken word again.
So now she can’t even answer her phone or wake up
I called and asked several times for them not to give it to her methadone. I can understand her life coach being over her medication. But not her proxy.
Her life coach didn’t know her no longer than two weeks , I live out of town even the life coach handed me her bank card, and handicap sticker went back to her apartment. All her food and important papers are gone and a lot of other stuff.

This was THE ABSOLUTE WORST hospital by far that I've ever been to. I visited the ER around 1pm and by 2:15p they had not even taken my vitals. It's at least 8 people waiting including a person brung in by paramedics with no assistance. There was an altercation outside and you see staff running out to look meanwhile you have a waiting room full of patients wondering why only 2 people have been called in the last 3hrs! This is unacceptable! The hospital director needs to be reviewed immediately if this is the type of service being allowed. Not to mention a Spanish Medical Assistant who more than likely doesn't understand hippa screaming at a patient to talk louder and saying that she could not hear him (literally standing next to her)not knowing if he had a disability. First time & LAST.

CNA SONIA has been such a blessing to my mom and family. She takes extra steps in assuring my mom feels cared for. The laughter , the conversation the just going beyond to make the patients feel like they matter is all a person looks for when in the hands of someone to take care of you!!! Sonia we appreciate you and FMC is so lucky to have you and so are the patients that you care for

I had surgery there yesterday and my experience was absolutely wonderful! Every single person I came across who was employed there greeted me, from maintenance to security. Even when I didn’t have to interact with them, every employee that passed me by was warm and welcoming.
I cannot say enough how amazing my nurses were, angels on earth, just beautiful humans, I felt safe and taken care of, it felt like my aunties and mom were there with me. The doctors were also amazing, answered all my questions and provided reassurance. This was my first time having surgery and I was extremely anxious but the way the entire team took care of me, made me feel at ease. Thank you all for what you do!!!
