I learned that a doctor I used to have has now began working there, called for info and to find out if they took my insurance. No one answered, went to voice mail, that was 4 days ago. No one calls back. So disappointed.

There aren’t enough words to describe how knowledgeable and professional everyone is at FIU Health. After all, it’s a university teaching clinic, so textbook care is the norm. My clinician is Catherine Busatto and I am beyond grateful to be in her care. Most practitioners only look at you for 5 mins and send you off with meds and/or lab orders. Catherine actually does a full physical exam and sits with you to go over all her findings and your concerns IN DETAIL! She is incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, kind and invested in helping her patients.
I also want to mention how wonderful and skilled the medical assistants are in drawing blood, taking vitals and history. The overall flow at this clinic is smooth yet fast but you never feel unheard or rushed. I am very glad to be a patient here.

I called hoping to schedule an appointment with a psychiatrist. I asked about availability of a doctor that indicated they were taking new patients on my insurance's website. I called today (4/4/2024) around 1:30 PM. When the person (didn't say name, sounded like a woman, presumably 60 years or older based on voice) answered the phone I briefly explained my situation and asked about the doctor. She told me that the doctor was out on leave and immediately hung up on me. I was unable to ask any of my remaining questions. This is how FIU Health treated me. If you are experiencing mental health issues I would advise you to look elsewhere as this rude and unprofessional person is their first point of contact.

I called this morning (June 1)to schedule and appointment with my doctor, Julia Bisschops. I was told her first available time was the middle of Sept. The person answering was somewhat rude.
In the end I had to schedule with another doctor, in two weeks.

I have been a patient at this practice for about six years, and my time here has come to a close. At this practice, time is disregarded and needs are not met. Despite your best efforts, you will never be able to contact a doctor; but when you do, you will constantly feel like a number. Most importantly, some staff members feel that it's necessary to bully and belittle patients when the subject of disorganization is broached. I have trouble entrusting my health and well-being to nurses who enjoy wielding power and lording it over patients. Nurse Alejandra, also known as Alex, I implore you to do better and to treat others respectfully.

I just called to make an appointment as a new patient. I have Medicaid. And the stupid lady that picked up the phone. Told me they don’t handle Obgyn speacialty and hung up all Rudely. Pls hire ppl with better customer service

From my primary physician, Julia Bisschops to the specialists, Juana Montero, Mercedes Florez, and Patricia Junquera, I am very happy and satisfied with the care that I always receive from these group of excellent and kind doctors.
