My husband and I see Dr. Perez Cardwell who just moved to this location. She is a great doctor!! Unfortunately the staff at this office is HORRIBLE! We switched all our prescriptions to mail order and they sent over the requests to the office. I called 3 times and was told they would take care of it. We had to drive up to the office and finally they sent the prescriptions in. My husband who is on insulin got held up because the company called them for a dosing issue. I then called 2 more times and had to make a 2nd trip up there today, only to be told it would get done. I was prepared to wait and they told me not to but assured me they would get to it! Apparently the office manager (Carol) is the one who does it. I am still waiting! I am not confident that it will be done! The women I spoke to (Janita) every time I called is very unprofessional and in my opinion can't do the job! I tried to tell her that it was very important that we get this done since my husband is a diabetic and needs his insulin!! It's very disappointing because we love Dr. Perez Cardwell and want to continue seeing her. I will however share my experience with her at my next appointment since I think its important that she knows.

My doctor switched to this office. I wish she never did. I needed a refill on 3 prescriptions. Walmart put in for the refills and got no response. I have now called 3 times trying to get someone to either call me back OR just call the darn prescriptions in! One is for blood pressure meds!!! I have been off of them a week now and going to have to go to an urgent care or something just to get some meds since this office obviously doesn't care about patients. I see my doctor on the 30th and that will be the last time. I will be switching. Absolutely unprofessional and uncaring office.

The receptionist at checkout is very rude and unprofessional. I was treated poorly and made this office visit awful. I don’t know if she is like that to everyone or just to me because of how I look.

Everyone else has been courteous and professional during my first visit but this lady had an attitude and was rude to me in person and over the phone.

I did not see a script for a medication that my doctor said he will prescribe. So when I got home I called to make sure that the prescription was sent to my pharmacy. Apparently the doctor does not write scripts and sends it over directly to the pharmacy. Well that’s fine and all but she didn’t inform me that during checkout. She gave me attitude on the phone saying “don’t they call you when it’s ready?” referring to the pharmacy. Well excuse me but this is all new to me and I have never had a prescription sent over before. I don’t take any prescription meds!!

And then the doctor said he will refer me to Dr. Marshall. She tells me I don’t need a referral because I have an appointment. I did have an appointment but with another doctor for something else, but I want to see Dr. Marshall if possible.

The nurse who helped me out was very nice and told me I can check with the office when Dr. Marshall becomes available. The checkout lady was just straight up rude saying that she is not taking new patients. Yeah I get that but spots can open up so that seems uncalled for. She didn’t put the referral to Dr. Marshall like my doctor said but she put it for a different doctor.

Then she didn’t give me instructions about where to go for labs. I had to clarify where I’m supposed to go. I’m trying to establish a PCP and I’m new to the area and their process. It’s her job to give me that information and she’s doing not even the bare minimum.

I really liked Dr. Lu. I felt he was professional and thorough.

This awful encounter just marred what would have been a pleasant visit.

Five stars. Really great office. Efficient friendly staff, and an even better PCP. I’m an RN, and I found Dr. Lu to be very thorough, kind, and patient. He listened intently to my concerns, and explained my condition to ensure my understanding, what was occurring, and also what is to be done next. He discussed goals with me, wrote referrals and ordered labs and testing and a follow up visit. My insurance had changed, so I was concerned starting all over with a new doc would be a pain. However, I do believe I’m now in better hands for my care. I’d highly recommend this medical practice to others.

Saw my regular, Dr. Jessica Perez-Cardwell @ the new location. It is farther but the office staff were nice, though I do miss the staff at her previous office. The office itself appeared to be dated and sparse.

After much aggravation with my insurance company I was finally given the accurate information that Dr. Beasley could be my primary doctor. I returned today and must say I was just as pleased as I was the first time. He wanted to know all about how I was doing regarding my health and update on everything overall. He spent a good 45 minutes with me today and for someone that has a particular medical issue this meant the world. Thank you Dr. Beasley for being such an awesome guy .

Dr Beasley is a true disappointment - he took no time to get To know my husband or I,after the first visit he had his very unpleasant nurse John call to tell us that he was cutting my husband off his back pain medicine even though he has been taking it for several years and is a very compliant patient . The office shows a lack of caring and compassion. And the folks answering the phone are very rude and it’s obvious they hate their jobs. I cannot under any situation recommend dr Beasley - the happy news is we were lucky enough to switch a truly wonderful and caring office here in venice and they are very kind and caring

My primary physician always takes time because of my multiple diagnosis and it never feels like my visit is rushed. He listens to me and discusses treatment options in language I can understand. I had gotten so tired of docs that rush you in and back out that the visit was a blur, you forgot half what you want to say and half what the doc told you and you leave feeling very deflated. I’ve seen one of my primary’s partners who seems to have the same practice ethic; this is a great thing when your ill.
