When I had my third child, I was determined to find a doctor who truly cared. I found exactly that at Etowah Pediatrics.From the start, the staff have been friendly and wait time is very minimal. Dr. Hester has been incredible in addressing my daughter’s feeding issues. He listens carefully to every concern and shows a deep commitment to finding the right solutions. His persistence and care have made a huge difference in my daughter’s well-being. We’ve seen real progress, and she’s much happier now. Dr. Hester truly cares for his patients, and I’m grateful for the positive changes he’s helped bring about. I’m so glad I chose this office for her care!

Multiple bad experiences. In 2022 my second child was 14 months old. He had been co-sleeping with me and I was trying to transfer him to his own bed. I asked Dr. Hester how I can help my baby transfer better because he always cried when I tried laying him in his own bed. Dr. Hester said “just shut the door and don’t open it until the morning.” I couldn’t believe a pediatrician would tell me to shut my crying baby in a room and not to tend to his cry’s. I did not take his advice. With love and patience I was able to transfer my baby to his bed with no screams. I did not have to use neglect as recommended by this doctor.

We continued to see to go to the office just for check ups. I never asked for advice again though. I had two other negative experiences.

My toddlers were sick. One of the nurse practitioners, Denise, prescribes them an antibiotic when they only had a virus. I brought them back in a few days later because they were worse. I asked for a blood test to prove if it was a virus or not. It indeed was a virus. Denise was confused why they were on antibiotics. I told her she prescribed the antibiotics.
I ended up treating them myself with garlic oil, honey, mullein leaf for congestion and a cool mist humidifier.

The visit that officially made us switch providers and left me with much distrust- Our third child had a very scary reaction to his two month old vaccines. He was fine until about 5 hours later. He screamed from 8pm until 2 am. I couldn’t soothe him which had never happened before. My infants are always very happy and hardly ever cry. I expressed my concern about my baby and was told he probably had gas pains. No he didn’t. He was just injected with heavy metals and a ton of other toxins.

After that scary situation, I decided I wanted to do my research and educate myself on these vaccines before I gave my children anymore. That’s what I told Denise. we were told we couldn’t be seen if we weren’t going to vaccinate our third child. We happily left and I do not recommend using them.

This year marks 18 years that Dr Hester’s practice has been in business and in our lives! We were one of the first babies of his own practice and the first born with Autism. We navigated and learned together and we took it seriously. It’s like visiting distant relatives when we see them. We are so glad that my son can see him as primary until he is 22. Ben and Shelly are important parts of our lives and set us on our early intervention journey.

Staff members are amazing and caring. The doctors are wonderful and take time to listen to all concerns that you have and answer any questions! Highly recommend this office for the care of your children!

Called to schedule appointment and was greeted by friendly worker. She was able to get me scheduled same day. Check-in to office was pleasant and greeted with friendly smile. Nurse was very sweet and attentive. Mrs Denise listened to my concerns and addressed everything. Checkout also very nice and quick. Great office staff!

We love Mrs. Becky! The staff is super friendly and welcoming. My 2 year old has NEVER been an easy patient, but the staff is super helpful making him comfortable. We’ve seen Dr. Hester once and had a great experience with him as well. We love Etowah Pediatrics.

My daughter has been going to Dr. Hester since Birth. She is now 17 years old. Wow! This practiced has grown so much over the last 17 years . You actually can choose who you would like to see . If you have a sick visit they get you in same day almost 100 % of the time. Any time I’ve ever been here with my daughter I’ve never sit in the waiting area more than 10 min if that . They go above and beyond for everyone. I absolutely love Dr. Hester and his team. With each new professional he brings in just makes his office that much better. It’s really sad in a way that my Baby is no longer a baby and she’ll be needing Family Doctor. We will miss driving 40 min for appts. And Etowah Pediatrics . I wish I could name them all I cant and wouldn’t Because they all are incredible from front to clinical. Also Heir Kindergarten Clinic are life savers My daughter is a champ with Vaccines and all credit goes to this place and great very caring staff!

I came here as a child and now my children come here. We love everyone from the office staff to the nurses to our pediatrician! It is always clean and they are quick to listen to any of our concerns. They always check my children thoroughly and make sure my child is perfect before we leave! We have never had any issues and we are thankful they take such great care of our babies!
