I am almost 7 years post my diagnosis of stage 4 breast cancer de novo. I was given 3 years as an estimate of how long I would survive. After a comprehensive treatment plan that included chemotherapy, a mastectomy (which is not the standard with stage 4) and continued targeted chemo I am expected to live a usual life span. If I hadn’t listen to my primary and sought treatment at Enloe I wouldn’t be here. I wouldn’t have seen my 3 kids graduate from high school and my oldest from college. I am truly blessed to have found this facility and its wonderful staff.

I can't recommend this place whatsoever, in fact I went to UCSF over them, even with a 4 hour drive one way. Its such a great improvement. All the doctors in San Francisco read all the dr. notes and can't believe their eyes of what I went through with enloe. With USCF, I am already receiving my cancer treatments and am on my 2nd round of chemo. Dr. Pathak said come back in 1 year...I'd be dead.

They'd cancel my appointments and reschedule, yet still send me text messages to come in the day before. I'd show up for nothing..but it gets worse. I've been trying to call for at least hydration during chemo to save me a couple trips to San Fran and they are denying me, and/or not answering their phones.

Dr. Pathak seemed to have no concern for me. He'd tell I only had cyst but never looked into if this was true. Even in my blood tests, I was concerned it could be cancer because my numbers elevated. He said cancer would be to rare so he wasn't worried. He did help with my blood clot but told me to come back after a year. He said that he would refer me to an oncologist just in case, which was never done.
Under his care, my tumor went from 6 cm to 13 cm and he never noticed.

Luckily, I got a 2nd opinion because what he told me was just a cyst is stage 2 sarcoma cancer. I'm sad I wasted nearly a year of my life going to a doctor who doesn't care enough about my health to double check or hardly look at my leg. Save your life and avoid this place.

It has almost been a year since my mother passed away. Chemotherapy is listed before cancer as a cause of death on her death certificate. She was given a rigorous treatment plan after being diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. She died less than a year after treatments began. I believe she was pushed by her doctor to continue the treatments after she expressed a desire to stop due to the side effects causing an increasingly poor quality of life. I strongly believe she would have lived longer with an alternative treatment or no treatment at all. She had a good quality of life before chemotherapy. Now I see they are breaking ground on a new Enloe Cancer Center on Bruce Road, right across from her former home. It pains me to drive by and see that sign. I can't help but wonder how much her treatments helped to fund the coming facility. Maybe chemo is a big money maker for them. I don't know, but for me it definitely created a lot of distrust in the operation of that medical establishment. I miss her everyday and feel she was taken from her family by a treatment plan that made the last 6+ months of her life one of sickness and suffering. They have probably helped save a lot of people, but they didn't help her. My young son will have few if any memories of his wonderful and loving Grammy.

I could not have asked for better treatment. Everyone who works there is very professional and compassionate. Doctor Stickney and the radiation nurses were excellent. They do everything possible to make you comfortable. They were very supportive. The infusion nurses are absolutely amazing. Always smiling and working hard to keep you comfortable. Thank you for everything.

When I first started treatment for bilateral breast cancer I was very anxious but the staff at radiation oncology were very caring and patient with me. At one point I thought they were going to give up on me but they didn't. They worked hard to make sure my treatment was accurate and safe. They are a dedicated professional staff and demonstrate that they care about their patients. Thank you for being there for me: Ken, Joy, Kim, Brittany, Tanya, Patty, and those whose names I have forgotten.

A charge nurse by the name of Ellen does an outstanding job. Very kind, compassionate and helpful. I am very thankful that she is working at the cancer center and was able to help me.

I've been a coming here for 10 years. ALL of the staff from MD's, PA's, NP's, MA's, Phlobotomist's & out reach team I've ever met here are truly AMAZING people. It does seem thought that admin has had a hard time keeping good Dr's.

Great for emergencies 24/7/365. Enloe has had some infection problems in the past. (I know this from experience.) I have been told they are working hard to correct & restore their good standing in this regard. Enloe has some very fine physician's. Just be sure to stand ready with loved ones & verbally insist on thorough hand washing & disinfection regarding nursing & attendants. Family too. Bacterias, germs, & contaminates are invisible but deadly threats in ALL hospitals.
