On Saturday night, I received the remains of my soul-companion, Panda, from the Emergency Vet Clinic in Niceville. It was a moment both devastating and sacredâmy sweet boy had finally come home. Though his body was gone, his soul lingered near, a tender sentinel guarding me with the quiet love we shared. The ache of his absence cut deep; we had been inseparable, bound in a love beyond words. Panda was more than a cat⌠he was a piece of my heart and soul, my anchor through every storm, loving me through every season of life. I could no longer hold him, no longer feel his warmth against me, or gaze into his beautiful, knowing eyes. His purrs no longer rose against my chest. Yet, I felt his presence like a whisper on the wind, a love that transcended time and space. I knew he was waiting for me, patiently, until the day we are together once more.
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Emergency Veterinary Clinic in Niceville. They honored my darling boyâs memory in the most beautiful way. Your care and compassion during such a difficult time meant the world to me. The respect and dignity with which you handled Pandaâs passing is something I will never forget.
Dear Dr. Dooley, I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the extraordinary care you provided to Panda in his final moments. Your kindness, empathy, and generosity during such a heartbreaking time meant the world to me and my husband. You helped guide us through the most difficult decision we've ever had to make, and your thoughtful, tender presence made a deeply painful experience feel a little more bearable. I will forever be grateful for the compassion you showed to Panda, me, and my husband as we sent him off to Valhalla. Thank you for making an unbearable situation feel just a little less heavy with your grace and care. You are an extraordinary human being and doctor. Thank you for doing what you do and who you are.
Thank you all at Emergency Veterinary Clinic for helping me and my family bring him home, where his memory will forever be cherished. You are all angels on earth. đŤśđžđđž

Be very careful when taking your fur family to this place because they will overdose them with Opioids when they probably donât even need them! Our Maltese (who had MegaEsophogus) had emergency surgery done by our Vet which went fine and she was sent here for âSupportive Care & Monitoringâ overnight. They gave her Fentanyl the first night that she was there and we picked her up the next morning and I honestly thought she was brain dead!! She went back to her Vet that next day and she was doing better but then her Vet thought she needed to go back to the ER clinic the second night because she still wasnât eating which was very important for the type of surgery that she had plus she needed more âSupportive Care & Monitoringâ which was what her vet recommended. The same doctor that was there that first night was also there the second night so she already knew our case and she should have known that we were willing to do anything for our baby!! Well the vet tech was very unethical by saying that vets always say that dogs need to be eating right after surgery when actually it was very important for our dog to eat ASAP after her surgery and they should NEVER contradict what another Vet has told their Clients!! Our Vet has been our Vet for 20+ years and we have trusted him with all of our furbabies lives so why would they think that we would listen to them over our own Vet Then the ER Vet told us that âwe might as well just take her home and put her in her kennel because thatâs all that they would do for her thereâ and that she would give her some medications and just send her home. And I questioned her about whether or not she was dehydrated and didnât she need the IV fluids that her Vet had sent with us for her to have while there because again she wasnât eating or drinking and she briefly looked inside her mouth and said that she wasnât dehydrated and that was the ONLY time that she even touched our dog the entire time that we were there that night!!
They gave her 0.6mg (.10 ml) Buprenorphine (an Opioid) after we had already told them that we had given her the dose of Gabapentin that her Vet had prescribed for her pain before we brought her up there because we thought they were going to do Supportive Care & Monitoring but they didnât they decided to drug her up more and send her home. So we did what they told us because we so stupidly trusted them and we put her in her kennel and when we woke up a few hours later she was DEAD!!! She was still lying exactly the same way as we had laid her down and she had never moved!! She had thrown up so she possibly choked on her own vomit which I now know is a side effect of being given an Opioid and then she wasnât being monitored or watched because they didnât keep her (and the doctor even told us to put her in the kennel until the next day so we werenât watching her either-ugh Regrets) plus she hadnât had anything to eat in 3 days at this point so absolutely nothing in her stomach, plus surgery, and she wasnât on any IV fluids either!! So YES I honestly feel like this doctor is 100% responsible for killing our sweet, 8.5 year old, 7.5 lb., precious little girl!!
And nobody EVER once told us to watch out for signs or symptoms of overdose or anything like that while treating her with these AWFUL medications!! And thatâs on ME because I let them give them to her without questioning them because I trusted them and I shouldnât have!! OPIOIDS KILL!!
And I called up there to tell them that she had died and they actually put that phone call in her records BUT nobody..NOT ONE PERSON FROM THAT PLACE HAS EVER REACHED OUT TO US TO OFFER CONDOLENCES OR ANYTHING!! I have reached out to them multiple times through emails that they claim they never received and I have spoken to the practice manager a few times but she wasnât any help! We did receive a card from the Destin Emergency Clinic but we have never been there..very awkward and mostly disturbing! For ER Vet care our Vet now recommends OnPoint FWB, Pensacola ER or Mobile, AL!! Just always know what ALL Vets are giving your furbabies!!

I have a 5lb male chihuahua named Junior that was bitten directly on the nose by a rattlesnake. I took Junior to the Niceville location and could not have been happier with the level of care, attention to detail, and professionalism exhibited by the entire staff. I interacted with multiple doctors and staff in person and on the telephone and everyone was fantastic from start to finish. Junior was hospitalized for about 32 hours and then came home and he is doing fine. I fully recommend the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Niceville to anyone with a pet who needs lifesaving medical attention because they saved Juniors life.

We brought our Yorkie into the clinic late one evening because she was having seizures. They took her right away and were so kind when treating her. Dr. Thompson was extremely respectful and professional. He was a good listener and tried his very best to explain to us what he thought was happening with our pet. He was attentive and understanding. We were discharged and had to come back a day later because she had more seizures. They kept her overnight to monitor her and started medication. The woman that sits at the front desk during the day is so sweet and will answer every question that you have without hesitation. They are very busy there and she always answered the phone in a kind manner. The techs were amazing as well. They let us call as many times as we needed to check in on our pet overnight. I would definitely recommend this emergency vet if you need one.

Losing a pet is devastating, as anyone who has lost one knows. The staff's compassion, patience, and guidance were invaluable to me during this gut wrenching period of time from her sickness to her passing. Their understanding of what I was going through to include the beautiful card I received from them in the mail meant a great deal to me. The cremation process was also seamless, and thank you for saving some of my pet's hair for me. As strange as it may sound it was comforting. Thank you.

My wife already left a review but I have to praise these people as well. We unexpectedly had to bring in our 10 week old rescue puppy "G" today because she decided to get a ring wrapped around her tongue. Before we drove there from Crestview I called the clinic to ask a few questions because at the time I couldn't even see the ring and thought it could've been an allergic reaction or something. "Karen" answered all of my questions thoroughly while being so sweet and compassionate (love her!). We get there. They immediately knew who we were and they took G straight to the back to access the situation. They came back with a plan that was SO reasonable so we proceeded with the procedure to remove the ring. Everyone in this office from front desk staff, techs, nurses, and doctors are all AMAZING but there is one special nurse there that absolutely went above and beyond. I didn't get her name but she knows who she is đ. You guys saved my baby today and we are so thankful for all of you! We will never go to any other emergency clinic. Thank you!!!

Had to have my Golden there two times over this past weekend for some GI issues and I have to say that everyone including the Doc took time with us, they were very caring and extremely empathetic. Dr VanDelinder was great, she cared for our baby as if she was her own. Thank you!
