#3: 100% negative review (doesn't deserve 1 star)
When my antibiotics were completed, I did not remember (which I should not have to as the patient), to clamp my IV which I had to do myself almost EVERYDAY so blood would not backflow into the IV tubing related to being complete. The nurses were either busy charting, taking care of other patients, and/or avoiding me as a patient because they were intimidated by my nursing experience. I asked the RN who was caring for me to flush my IV with a normal saline flush, she stated "I'm busy, I will do it whenever i get to you." That was and is an unacceptable response to a patient. Well this inflamed me again, as the patient. I needed to flush my IV related to my IVs clotting every single day with my regular peripheral IV. All I requested was the RN to flush the blood back into my vein and circulatory system. I then asked her to please make and give me my home medications and flushes (usually 2 antibiotics and 4 flushes exactly). Her response was "I am NOT going to give you your home meds until you are bout to leave. My response was "Why not they ALWAYS EVERYDAY give me my home antibiotics and flushes before they even connect my antibiotics." All I was pleading to do was the RN to give me my 2 antibiotics and 4 flushes exactly so I can flush my IV in my motor vehicle and then I would come back inside so they could continue my antibiotic treatment. At this point, I was becoming more and more inflamed as the patient.
FYI..............Pg#2 in yelp review r/t i dint know b4 today how to edit my review!.
The RN who wouldn't flush my IV nor give me my flushes and antibiotics then came to my chair that I was sitting in and said rudely something like I needed to calm down!!! At this point a blonde-headed person, whoever she was, (I still dont know her name to this day) interjected herself thinking she was going to intimidate me as ECID's patient. This inflamed me as a patient as well. I WILL write about this in one of my MANY reviews about ECID AND their staff (It really is so much stuff done to me that is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable as a patient anywhere! Do NOT I repeat DO NOT treat me like I'm your child and scold me!!!!!!😡😡. At this point an elder man in the chair next to me, who needed to mind his own business and receive his medication quietly decided to intervene in my issue with the nurses. He did NOT belong in the conversation one bit!!! I told him something like stay of of my situation, I think. I really CAN'T remember because I was soooooo inflamed as a patient at this point. Then the "NURSE", who shouldn't be allowed to touch or take care of ANY patient (even as a patient care tech)interjected herself in my response to the elder man, who again should have minded his business and worry about his own care at ECID!!😡😡. Then the PERSON ( I won't even call her a nurse at all!!. She stated very close to this statement trying to PLAY like she even gives a poop!!🤮😠: "Don't talk to my patient like that." I responded back to her, getting more inflamed as a patient: "Person, don't talk to me, you are a terrible "nurse". I think I said "I dont even know how you passed nursing boards at all!! I still feel and know that this is a unacceptable statement to a patient. That's all I remember saying back to her, but it well could have been more descriptive. I was again inflamed!!😡😠. At this point I walked over to the wound care side for probably a 4th time with complaints and begging for some help to flush my IV. You think I would have committed a terrible crime. More to come at a later date about them calling the hard working police of me!!!!😡😠 of how I was treated in the infusion center in Destin, Florida, when I was PATIENT!!!! (NOT an experienced RN with 23 years of nursing experience, once again). More to come later I'm exhausted physically, mentally, and emotionally from this ABSOLUTELY terrible care!!!!😡😠

I had a wound from a surgery that wouldn't heal a friend recommend making an appointment and I have zero regrets. Dr. T was great and his staff was kind and knowledgeable. Everyone in the office is so kind and truly cares. I am forever grateful for the doctors and the staff for helping me heal.

I have been several times for iv treatment. The staff is friendly, professional and well trained. Dr Anastasio is very educated with infectious disease. Sometimes I feel he is used with the appointments. My problem is with Dr. Tabalog. He was very rude and opinionated and unwilling to look at other possibilities for my condition. He basically had an opinion before I arrived for my appointment. He told me my problem was psychological without looking at the evidence brought to him. Turns out I had Lyme Disease.Shame on him

Dr. Anastasio is a great Doctor. He listens, he's compassionate and he searches for all possible causes of symptoms from his medical practice stand point. This was a big plus to me after seeing so many Doctors giving up on me after just doing the minimum research. He's still very passionate about his career and his patients. Sadly many Doctors have lost that nowadays.
Bambi was always very attentive, compassionate and sweet.
I feel at peace knowing that none of my symptoms are coming from any infections disease so I can now move on with other specialists.

A couple of years ago I broke my toe and didn't realize. A bone infection set in. Not good.
Dr. Tablang and his staff fixed me and treated me like I was family. They have the upmost care and compassion for their patients. I have to do 6 weeks of daily injected antibiotics and they ALWAYS made it a pleasant experience!
I had a terrible experience with the podiatrist I was sent to as the commenced to try and treat my mental health and then "have my toe off by the weekend".
Dr. Tablang had staff alert him when I came in for my treatment so that he could personally apologize for their behavior even though it wasn't his fault at all. He then took great care to find and recommend my new podiatrist after making sure she wasn't a quack and had proper bedside manner. And he scored big on that one.
I never felt as though I were a burden or "just another patient" with these guys. If I ever have the unfortunate situation of needing their services again, I will refuse treatment by anyone else.

Dr. Anastasio is the best Doctor in his field. After a very road and many doctors later he did what none could do. Staff is good and very nice. Dr. Anastasio's wound care nurse Whitney is THE BEST. Thank You for saving my life.

Today, I had my first appointment at Emerald Coast Infectious Diseases clinic in Fort Walton. It was a short notice appointment, because of my situation, but the staff recognized my need and were quick to accommodate. They were pleasant and easy to work with. When I arrived, they were courteous and respectful; very service oriented.
I was seen by Dr. Kade and couldn’t be more pleased with his care. He made a serious effort to know me and understand my situation. I would call him an active listener and an overall good communicator. He was thorough in his assessment and thoughtful in his course of actions. When we were finished, Dr. Kade ensured I had a complete understanding of my condition and the way ahead.
Something important that I don’t want to omit is that they have a pharmacy right there in their building! What a time saver! My prescriptions were handled by Dr. Gear. One of my antibiotics came with some pretty severe food restrictions and drug interaction concerns. I don’t think I’ve ever had a better interaction at any pharmacy. She was a pleasure to work with.
It’s easy for someone to put a motto on their website. Theirs says “We’re here to help”. Guess what? They really believe that.
