I just want to start by saying GREAT place. I recently completed a transformative six-week IOP therapy program at Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital with a wonderful therapist by the name of Zachary Kuster. Zachary Kuster is by far the best therapist I’ve ever had in my entire life and thats coming from someone who attended therapy since the age of 11, and who is now a mother of a high school senior. This guy definitely knows what he’s doing. I actually looked forward to therapy weekly as each session gave me the tools to manage my mental health in a practical and meaningful way. If you’re looking for some cookie cutter then Zach may not be for you. Along with this, the psychiatrist Claire Tiglao was absolutely amazing. She was engaging, honest, and very encouraging.
Also, the front desk was attentative and always responded in a timely manner and was always pleasant.

I stayed 6 days here and and every single time, I had an emotional breakdown, nobody will help me, they declined when I told him, I didn't want to talk to my mother or father. There was one nurse who I've seen in a couple of other peoples reviews yes. Nurse Francis was horrible. She was rude and always yelling, even though they knew that I was sensitive to loud noises. She repeatedly refused to give me my stuffed animal which I used for emotional support. I was never given my allergy medicine. The only reason it's getting 2 stars is because one of the nurses, Michael, was absolutely amazing and made me feel really comfortable in this comforting me when I was in an emotional breakdown. I hope I never have to go here again worst experience I've ever had. They wouldn't even call me by my preferred name ever. I hate my given name because it doesn't mean anything remotely kind. I would not ever recommend. If you are ever in a real emotional crisis, never go here.

I was at the outpatient for TMS. I just want to say they really do know how to treat people. Some of these "mental" health facilities should look at Emerald Coast and maybe they'd learn about how to treat people. Denise G. Is GREAT . I'm still a work in progress but if it had not been for Denise I wouldn't be here to this day. She was professional and understanding. But the main thing was she was friendly. That goes a long way for me because people have lost that trait but not Denise. Denise would answer any questions, and believe me she knows her trade. ALL other mental facilities should get their pad and paper out and take notes because most are at a" -10". Denise, Emerald coast in patient and out are definitely a "+10". Thank you Denise

I’m so thankful for this place! Dr. Tiglao, Mrs.knetzer, and Mrs. Cook have been amazing in helping through my alcohol & trauma abuse! They listen & work personally to help you obtain your goals! I’m now 109 days sober & on the verge of completing my trauma class! I’m so grateful to say that I love the newer version of me & how far I’ve come from day 1! The staff are extremely friendly & ready to answer questions or get the answers/ resources you may need!

Admission lie about what is allowed to get you in the door and then , their policies are one sided and do not advocate always for the patients. Patient staff and activities are good , for is par not great not bad. Outside of admin staff no problems but admin staff need to be replaced. - Get it writing and understand what is allowed. Too many lies from intake to be a good place.
