First time visiting. So many great things about this hospital. The area is breathtaking; as soon as you get into the area there’s this peace and calmness. Secondly, l I appreciated every interaction I had with the office staff here. From the moment I got lost in the building I went into the women’s clinic and one of staff’s literally walked with me all the way back downstairs and around the building to where I needed to be. Then the checkin/checkout process. Everything from start to finish was absolutely stress free. I highly recommend this hospital.

I only give it a one star... for El Mirador Imaging Center since their billing department is really bad. The insurance says I don't owe a $1599 bill due to 'no surprise billing act' and they still show I owe it. I've tried to send the evidence/facts from insurance company to them 3 times.. They NEVER correct it... and now they have turned me over to COLLECTIONS. I have needed imaging since then, AND I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THEM. The girl in the building told me they have a bad reputation for billing.

Laser treatment went extremely well & I a. thrilled with outcome!
Dr. Goldban also did my
cataract surgery and did an amazing job.

The ER is horrible. The hospital stays are decent. These two observations are based, intermittently, on the staff. Also, there's an "air," slightly tangible, that this is a poor, county-like facility. My hy musband, a year ago, went into the ER due to an undiagnosed vasculitis. He went twice and had no clue. Finally, he went to Eisenhower, and they had 5 doctors in consult, and the rheumatologist knew what it was, prescribed meds, and was admitted 3 days. The Cancer Center is awesome. It's totally opposite. Clean, consistently great care and awesome staff! I understand the different dynamics between the 2 facilities, but I DO NOT recommend Desert Regional ER and, to a lesser extent, the hospital itself.

Typical Medical building, however the parking is nearly impossible because security is too lazy to keep staff from parking in this garage reserved for patients, Why have security at all if they just wave everyone in. Hospital staff needs to park in their designated lot.
