I'm so blessed to have Dr. Walton as my PCP. He actually cares about me personally and takes it upon himself to make sure I'm taken care of. He remembers every specialist appointment I have and makes sure I don't miss them, and calls them personally to make sure they're on the same page about me and my care.
Here's the thing: Dr. Walton is not the "Hugs and hand holding and poor baby" type of doctor. He is a serious, no-nonsense gentleman. If you want someone to cuddle you and pat you on the hand and feed you feel better lines, go somewhere else. But let me tell you - he is so thorough, and if there is something wrong he will not stop until he finds it. He never rushes me and always listens. He will talk to your other doctors personally and that's a rare thing. He is CRAZY smart, and stays on top of everything. Every time I leave his office, I feel cared for. That's worth more than gold.
And his nurses and office staff are AMAZING. I cannot say enough about them, he hit the jackpot with those women. I love them all. They take care of business and when I need a kind word, that's where I get it from. They're the ones who will hold your hand and lift your spirits when Dr. Walton scolds you for eating too much sugar or salt, lol.
You couldn't pay me a million dollars to see any doctor but Dr. Walton.

Doesn't seem to have much insight on mental health and helping patients with maintaining stability even temporary. He's very reluctant to go any further than his comfort zone regardless of the major setbacks it causes. For my experience him and his nurses lack the ability to advocate or put forth much effort which compacts into more problems on top of already exhisting ones.
