My husband is in need of a knee replacement, we had to change Drs to be able to go to a certain Orthopedic Dr.

Changed plans and options were limited, so we chose Dr Loera. Bad decision from the beginning.
Made our 1st appointment, waited THREE HOURS to be seen.
Changed a medication and ordered authorizations.

The new medication was never ordered through the Pharmacy, got that cleared. Waited over a month for the Orthopedic Authorization, called them and they had not received anything, went to Loera office, they forgot to send it, called Orthopedic back today to find out it is for the wrong knee.
Unfortunately, we are stuck with this incompetent Dr and Staff until knee replacement is done, then we are outta there.

The doctor did a superb job today squeezing me in and taking care of me,even with a last minute apointment.Staff got me in fast and had a very short wait. Thank you.

Dont go to this Dr. He's taking on too many new patients and I waited 2hrs and 10 minutes. I had to file a grievance about that and they completely blew off everything I needed after that and he became arguementive about everything. I was in so much intense pain I nearly died!! He just argued it was something else. It wasnt!! A few days later when I was about to go into the ER I called again to tell him I was about to call 911. They ordered a ultra sound that wouldn't show anything! If I wasnt willing to drive nearly an hour to be squeezed in as an emergency, I would have suffered yet another 3 weeks!!
Being a master herbalist, I decided to start treating myself to see if the pain would go away. Sure enough, most of it did. Unfortunately this is a treatment for cancer..Which is not good news.. All I wanted was a simple stool and blood test! He was supposed to order tests & that never happened. He had his secretary call a week later to see how I was doing? Ummmmmm Really? Where were the tests? This only happened after I called my insurance to complain for the third time and to FIRE him!! This had made the third time I was blown off made to suffer in the worst pain I had ever had. I actually passed out from it and should have called 911. I will say he did prescribe opioids for the pain.. that doesnt solve anything! Turning people into an opiod junkie? Thx@! I am still on my own holistic treatment while waiting for the emergency retro change to see another dr. I was treated like dirt all because I complained about a 2 hour wait time? That should have never happened in the first place. If I find out that I do test positive for cancer, I am going to sue him for pain and suffering.

Over an hour wait to see Dr. Loera. Did not examine my father in spite of recent surgery, a mass the size of a softball, and two years since seeing a PCP. Did not ask about his blood sugar levels. Refused to fill out IHSS paperwork because "it would take too long."

What kind of doctor doesn't examine his patients?

The people in the post who say sometimes the visit can be long are telling the truth. However, he is only one person and has MANY patients. Most of the time he even takes a few bites of
food to keep working to fit all his patients in. Most of us accept the wait realizing everyone wants to see only him. The others talking about his failures could be unhappy about something but they are lying about his care, concern and treatment. Dr. Loera is a very caring and through doctor. Very through, professional, caring, explorative and he takes time to listen. He never guesses your problem he will refer you to get the answers to ensure proper treatment. I love him that's why I travel so far to be a patient. I hate doctors who don't listen and just give you anything.

I rate this place low because they had no qualms making me wait over 2 1/2 hours to be seen. The doctor was informed I was next. I arrived at 2pm for a 2:20 appt. By 4:10 I was poking around for answers...the medical assistant informed the doctor I was next, the doctor didnt care. His name is Dr Loera. He looks very old and unhealthy ...even depressed. That was enough for me I knew it wouldnt be a good fit. Im looking for help to stay fit and healthy...this guy looks like he could use a nap and a new life at 4:30 I finally walked out. Good Luck@ this place. Ill find another doctor.

He's my brother's dr and is horrible. 10 months ago my brother was attacked, knifed, kicked in head more then 10 times. Dr. Loera wouldn't get close to him to look at his injuries, just said it looks gross. Since that happened to him he loses his balance and falls so many times not to mentions his memory isn't there any more. All dr does is give pain meds. He needs a brain specialist and help walking like a electrical chair. Dr. WON'T help. I've been trying to get him to try and change dr. But cause of his injuries he can't comprehend anything.

Been taking my mom here to this guy and she’s having heart failure he’s not thorough at all!!! She had fluid in her lungs and he told me that she sounds ok and her feet were swollen from the fluid and he said that she was ok the same night she said she couldn’t breath so we took her to the hospital where they are now trying to remove the fluid from her lungs!!! Like wow this dudes a doctor and he don’t do anything for anyone !!!! He can’t even detect fluid in someone’s lungs he’s a joke and I can’t beleive that he’s even a doctor!!! Not to mention every time we go we wait two hours !!! Like wow !!! Never go here you would be wasting your time he’s a joke !!! Not to mention he’s prescribing medicine to my mom that is making her sicker smfh
