I thought long and hard about this for a while. But as my due date gets closer I get more emotional, I JUST can’t get over what happened to me here. I want people to know what happened to me and how I was treated after being a patient here for years!!!!

I am beyond devastated and appalled by the experience I had with Dr.Marquette. Back in the spring, when I was 12 weeks pregnant, I tried to schedule an appointment and was met with a shocking refusal for reasons I still don't understand. The receptionist was incredibly nasty and dismissive. I have reasons to believe it was due to my age and my pregnancy being high risk.

Feeling desperate and unheard, I wrote a review about my experience. Dr.Marquette called me frantically, begging me to take it down and promised he would call me to set up an appointment as soon as he got back to the office. He never did.

A week later, my worst nightmare came true. I was rushed to the hospital, fighting for my life due to a miscarriage. I had to undergo emergency surgery to stop the bleeding. I firmly believe that if Dr.Marquette had seen me, this tragedy could have been prevented.

To add insult to injury, the only follow-up I received was a call about a $40 bill. This OBGYN does not care about his patients' well-being; he only cares about his image in the community. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. Please, for the sake of your health and your baby's health, stay away from this practice. I’ve had all records transferred to the university of Florida. They’re amazing!

I really didn’t want to post this review, but here we are. I had my 5th and final baby delivered by this practice in June. I had to pay upfront for maternity care, which I was fine with as this is common practice when using private insurance. However, since the hospital claim went through first, Dr. Marquette’s portion was covered by insurance leaving me with a credit on account. I called on October 21st and was told they would pass it on to office management. I called again on November 6th and spoke with Wendy where I asked for my refund and a breakdown of my payments/statement of account (because I will need those for tax purposes) and was told she would pass it on to Dr. Marquette for approval. Here I am today, on December 11th still without my reimbursement and no answer, so I called again. Same response, “I will pass it on to our office manager.” I don’t understand what the problem is. I paid faithfully and ahead of schedule. I was never an issue as a patient and was always respectful to your staff. Yet here I am having to leave a negative review in hopes this will get the attention of your practice. Also to warn others with good ol’ regular insurance that you will have to fight for money that is rightfully owed back to you. Your practice received the funds from insurance. I need what I paid out of my own pocket to go towards my hospital bill.

Very saddening that this practice refused to respect a very decisionally capable pregnant woman's decision. As I spoke to Logan to schedule some prenatal appointments I informed her of my concerns and reasons as to why I didn’t feel safe with having a Pap smear done during my pregnancy. Not only do they not respect a capable pregnant woman’s decision, they also refused to see me and provide me with care because of my decision.
During my conversation on the phone with Logan, she wanted to verify that they will deny me care if I refused the Pap smear. Logan placed me on a brief hold to ask the girls in the back if they can still see me as a patient while respecting my rights, she gets back on the line and says, “unfortunately I just confirmed with the girls in the back that we won’t be able to see you or care for you during your pregnancy if you refuse to have a Pap smear done during your pregnancy.”
As I myself respect and understand when certain medical procedures must be done, I never even had the pleasure to speak to Dr. Raymond J. Marquette MD OBGYN. They didn’t have a specific medical reasoning explanation as to why it was necessary for me to have a Pap Smear done during my pregnancy.
Happy to have found out that they are a practice not willing to respect a capable pregnant woman's decision before they even met me in person. Early sign that my decisions over my body, health, and birth right wouldn’t have been heard and respected.

Dr Marquette, Brandi and their entire office staff made my pregnancy such a great experience. From the very beginning, everyone made me feel so welcome and cared for! As a first time mom, there were some hiccups in my pregnancy like a two vessel cord and needing iron infusions which required assistance from outside providers as well. Dr Marquette and Brandi were always in the loop with my care with the other providers and on top of checking with me to ensure everything was going well. At delivery, my daughter decided to scare my husband and I, as we lost her heart beat a few times, almost requiring a c-section. Brandi was so compassionate and caring in these moments, and ensured that I felt heard and cared for, explaining everything they were doing every step of the way. I never had any doubts that myself and my daughter were in great hands. I remember telling Brandi several times, "Do whatever you need to do, I trust you" - and that's the truth! She was so reassuring as my daughter came out wrapped in her umbilical cord several times, reassuring me she was in the best hands as Brandi took care of me after the delivery. She explained everything each step of the way and reassured me as we had to deviate from my "birth plan" (I say that loosely, my ultimate birth plan was for both my daugher and I to be safe) but she was clear in letting me know what they were doing and why it was necessary. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for care - as you will be in good hands every step of the way.

I couldn't have asked for a better doctor than Dr. Marquette and Brandi. His office is truly amazing. His staff is super friendly and just all around great. Everyone is supportive through your decision and ups and downs throughout my entire pregnancy and postpartum. I never left his office with unanswered questions. Dr. Marquette and Brandi went above and beyond for my and my daughter's well-being and safety. I would not trust anyone else. I highly recommend his office.

Highly recommend Dr. Marquette. Professional, ethical, kind, and very engaged with his patients. Listens addresses issues at hand. I came in with an issue multiple other doctors both OB/GYN and general practitioners were not able to help resolve or even disgnose. Dr. Marquette diagnosed me immediately and was able to resolve and repair my problem. He and his staff made me feel welcomed. They are caring and made me feel that my concerns became their's as well. Would give them 10 stars if it was an option!

Dr. Marquette recently performed my hysterectomy. Leading up to the procedure, he was very thorough in answering my questions and explaining exactly what was going to happen. His compassion and encouragement get an A plus. Brandi and his office staff are professional, pleasant, and always helpful. The nurses during my stay at Advent also spoke highly of him. I highly recommend Dr. Marquette whether you are in your childbearing years, or like me, beyond them. You are in great hands!
